Evening ladies. Has anyone who has had lining issues had a laparoscopy and had anything found? Can scarring, endo, polyps etc cause a thin lining?

I understand @tuxcat. That's why I'm hoping some us can create some half siblings. On the Nurture egg donor website in CT the donors are asked if there's a change in legislation would they be open to some form of contact and they can tick a box that says 'yes, no, unsure'.

@Blossom74 Uhm, I'm running a marathon hun. I think you referred to me as a tortoise. I'll just keep plodding along. But it is lovely to have renewed hope with a possible new donor.
Today's result was bittersweet. While it's fab to be healthy of course, it still doesn't give me any answers as to why my embryos implant and then stop at 13dpo. Frustrating really.
You must also have an exciting renewed sense of optimism?

@Tahli I think that this is a lovely idea. If you ladies can pull it off, they'll be lucky kids.

@tuxcat I'm in health and do human research, as well as direct patient work. I'm hungry for information and have great access to scientific literature, so I investigate everything.

Congrats on your weight loss! Wazza told me to try to lose 1kg/month as we're actively cycling. I then put on 3-4kg in the first week on his magic pharmacy . During the month off at Christmas I cut calories and did everything I could to lose weight, including going on Duromine - lost nothing and had my worst cycle (of 7) with 50% empty follicles in Jan/Feb. I've never had empty follies on any other cycle, including the one since, and suspect I wasn't eating enough. Now I watch what I eat when cycling to ensure I get enough protein as Cetrotide puts me off food. I've spoken to a couple of FSs and GPs about it and they've basically said I should ignore my weight whilst doing IVF - it seems to be the drugs, not the food that is my issue. So I just try to eat healthy. I've got intralipids tomorrow, so there goes two slices of cheesecake! Within two days of starting on pred this time I got the moon face and pot belly! Argh!!!

@Tahli the clinic we were considering for embryo adoption (California Conceptions) has a forum on babycenter (US site) where the people using the donors could match donor numbers to work out any full or half siblings. We never pursued it as we got our OE BFP but I believe they created a private group for those who wanted to join. I guess once they worked out who had the same donor they could swap information and keep in contact so their bubs could at least meet up with siblings in the future. It didn't change the fact that the egg donors were anonymous but I think it would be still nice for the Bubs. The SD's I think were sourced from different banks so there was a possibility of contact with some of those donors in the future (?European banks).

I don't know if we would have the numbers here or even on your SA forum but maybe it would be worth asking the ladies who used donors what their donor ID was and creating a private group list where others can find siblings (in your case maybe people using your donor in the future).

I've just received CFC's 2016 price list for international patients if any-one would like it.

@MissDa sorry to hear about your DP's lack of support. I guess you've tried talking to him about it again. I hope things work out for you both

@Tahli I'd be interested to take a look. I'll pm you my email. I'm still not sure which way we'll go yet. a friend last night said she'd be interested to donate but I think it might be too complicated. she's 36 and the newly-ex GF of DP's cousin. I think she really wants to save her eggs for future and said she could donate some & save some. not even sure if this is an option. and how complicated it would be with the family. I think I'm tending more towards less contact with the donor but possible future contact when the child reaches age if they want to. I'd go to CT as a default but I just wonder if the kid will hate me in the future if they can't find out their genetic background (I guess there's possibilities they'll find another reason to hate anyway knowing how teenagers are)
