Hi All, just some update on my today BT and Scan today. 7 good size follicle were observed one 15mm, one 16mm, one 18mm, two 19mm, one 20mm, one 21mm others 7 or so were under 15mm, nurse told me to be realistic and focus the good seven one. Estrogen level were 6425 and lining thickness is at 12mm. Nurse said no risk of OHSS. phew!~

Did trigger shot tonight and canceled our family dinner because trigger was at 7.30pm which I am fine with that as I don't feel like going out anyway. EPU on monday 7am luckily its public holiday so my mom will come over and babysit DS.

Girls, please tell me how bad EPU is in terms of pain level? I am only on local anesthetic. Hubby will go with me in the room.

Also any tips on hubby providing sperm? he told me when he did the SA the cup was bloody small and hard not to spill some out lol

Ooh those follies sound like awesome sizes! Hopefully a few more catch up by Monday!!

I'm doing epu on Friday most likely! I'll be under local also. So let me know how it goes!! Are you going to take any pain killers/relaxants beforehand?

Hi @obesebaby good luck for Monday. I was sedated for both of my EPU's so I can't give you any insight re: the procedure. As for afterwards, I was mostly tender and uncomfortable, I overdid it a bit (wine tour the next day for a friend's birthday) so I ended up quite sore this time, previous time I was fine.

My DH never really mentioned anything about his end of the process so I can't give any advice, sorry.

    Good Luck

@mac247 - looks like we are cycle buddies. I started menopur injections yesterday. I normally stim for a while 17/18 days though so my EPU may end up after you. Good luck with injections

Sending endless sprinkles of baby dust to all xx

Good luck for Monday. I'm also normally sedated for EPU, I find the local the toughest part. I do still feel my FS pushing around a little but they also normally have to push on my tummy to locate me on an ultrasound. Normally only painful for about 24 hours or so xx

@obesebaby I had EPU on Wednesday under local with some pain relief through an IV and it honestly wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I didn't feel too much pain just a bit of discomfort. Had a bit of bleeding though but that only lasted that day. A little bit of stomach pain the next day but didn't need anything for it.

Fingers crossed for you, you'll be fine. And the best part about being awake is hearing the embryologist call out the egg numbers!

    Default IVF/FET May-June 2016

@lotsathoughts sorry to hear about your friend/ family member. Over the last few months I have distanced myself from a few friends for this very reason. I haven't looked back! My mum still causes me a bit of trouble with her lack of IVF support but I think we may be having some success "retrain[ing]" her.
P.S I tried one of the meditation apps you recommended yesterday & I had the best sleep i've had in weeks!

@Heyside Congrats on the great fertilisation numbers! Great to hear the bloating has subsided & you've bounced back so well! No doubt that protein infusion has helped. Are you still on track for transfer next week?
Couldn't believe your friend re: fortnightly pessaries. So arrogant!

@MAQ247 YAY for CD1. So much admiration for you juggling everything. When is DH home? Did your nurse manage to confirm your dosage?

@obesebaby @hopefull29 Haha my DH made the same comment about the size of the cup!! He actually missed the cup first time for both our fresh IVF . Was far from ideal, especially considering optimum sperm quality requires a period of abstinence but we still managed to get good fertilisation.

@obesebaby sounds like everything is on track for a smooth EPU. I had a GA so can't really comment re: pain...

@SurferGalGC no pain killers before hand, the nurse didn’t mention anything to me but I suppose she will give me all those when I arrive the clinic. This is the time I felt we are super woman and will accept all the pain like how we did with the injection! Good luck on Friday EPU and let me know how you go.
@hopefull29 Thanks! Was sedation by choice or depends on the instruction of FS?
@julianicholson Thanks! I will remember to take it easy the next day, hubby will work from home to help out with DS, I will pop out for an hour or so for acupuncture to keep up with a good blood flow and healthy lining ready for transfer.
@laugo Thanks for the heads up! I guess I can deal with 24 hours of pain hopefully that’s the only and last time I have to experience it!
@belinda780 Thanks for info, hope everything went well for you on your side.
@Muchulu1 DH better aim well if that’s the only thing he is doing! But I guess with a million of those sperms in one tiny drop, spilling little is still ok…hehe

@MAQ247 - Sounds like a definite challenge hun working full time with a 3 year old, hope you have some more support soon. Great news that your cycle has started and can get started, hope your dose is sorted easily. Thanks for the positivity on my results hun but I know this is the hardest part for me with a big drop off.
@Muchulu1 - Hope the higher dose of progynova does the trick if thats what is decided hun. Thanks hun yes happy with fert results, my bloating came back last night have a feeling I may be overdoing my fluids and protein and thats whats doing it haha! Yes I want to scream at my friend and tell her to do anything to keep her baby safe, if only she knew!
@obesebaby - Great number of follies at a good size hun. Good luck for Monday at EPU, sorry I can't help with the pain in an EPU under local but hope its not too bad hun. Maybe ask if there is anything they advise to take beforehand.
@hopefull29 - I don't think there is much you can do about the sore boobs hun, I usually do the pregnyl boosters too which add to the soreness. In past cycles though I know when the boobs start getting less sore I start to stress more thinking it hasn't worked, think its one of those things that we can't win with.

AFM - I was very bloated again last night but I am struggling to keep up with my 3litres of fluids and high protein diet. Thinking this may have caused my bloat and then I spent all night getting up to go to the toilet haha! Have decided to not get an update today on embies will wait to speak to nurses tomorrow.

Hi @hopefull29 the sore boobs are the worst! I found heat packs helped to reduce discomfort. Another friend found cooling her boobs worked better during her pregnancy so she bought the gel breast pads from the chemist and put them in the freezer (I am sure they make something for warm also). I remember when I used crinone even just the slightest touch was painful. Keeping fluids up can help a bit but not really....sorry.

In terms of the distraction of candy crush- try the game 2048 or 2048 6x6 I am not a gamer either, but the challenge has me hooked.

AFM- last night I kept feeling like AF was coming which FREAKED ME OUT BIG TIME!, I of course got my google on an saw some reassuring posts around the place. I gave in - more to prepare myself for the worst and POAS this morning and 2 pink lines showed up, so hopefully this means it is for real.... I have done a completely natural cycle with not a single med so surely this can't be a false positive....
