    Hi girls,

Sorry i've been MIA, the last week has been mental at the shop and i've been getting home late each night.

Lotsathoughts - I know it can be really hard to be positive when you don't get the embryo numbers that you hoped for. My first cycle I got 11 eggs (2 fertilised, one ended up being a little girl that we lost), the second stem we got 9 eggs (3 fertilised and one was our son) and the third stem we got 14 eggs (5 fertilised and were grown for blastocysts, it was the first time we had ever had day 5 embryos). We have actually chosen to have our embryos only grown to day 3 this time because we have had more success with them.

SurfergalGC - Wow how exciting!!! My cycles in the past have been whirlwind like that, this is the only one that I have had time to stew over before we start haha! Best of luck xx

So I'm still sitting here waiting waiting waiting. My period is due around 8th June and I have all my needles ready to go. Last time I mentioned that my FS was starting me on 300iu of Gonel F which I was a bit worried about, I was relieved that he has reduced it to 150iu and will increase it if needed.

The next two weeks are going to be a bit tricky. My parents are off on a holiday around NZ. My works 3 days a week at my baby store so I will be working full time. They usually also look after our son on the days that I work while my husband is away at work (he is fifo). So basically ill be working full time, with a 3 year old in tow, a husband away at work and while I begin an IVF cycle - nothing like a bit of stress hey!

    Amy xx

Hey ladies, silly question time because I'm a newbie at all of this.

My ultrasound is in the morning (to check number of follies) and potentially EPU on Friday (unless cancelled). Have been on Gonal-f & Cetrotide. Tonight I've been feeling a little "full" in my pelvic region, which feels like the sensation I get before I ovulate. I am getting slightly concerned as I don't want to ovulate (but also in the back of my mind I'm thinking it's not really possible because I'm on Cetrotide) then the other half of me is thinking it's a good sign & I may have more follicles than normal, which could be causing the sensation. I think deep down I'm more anxious & freaked out than I want to believe.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

@lotsathoughts thank you! When do you hear how your embies have progressed? I would be absolutely stoked with three I reckon!! Don't forget that some people might get zero so at least you have a chance still
@MAQ247 ooh speed up that af so I can have another cycle buddy!! I'm glad that this feels so whirlwind at the moment because I know there are still some long waits ahead.

I'm working full time in a new job and struggling so much with not being able to mention anything to anyone! I'm usually a super transparent person with everything and I suck with secrets haha

What you're feeling is multiple follicles growing. They weigh down on your ovaries so give you that heavy feeling...it's completely normal. And like you said, it won't be you ovulating because of the drugs. You'll feel much better after you have that scan and they explain what size they are and how many they have. Good luck xx

Find out Friday, the day they're transferring (hopefully).
So just waiting and hoping a strong one makes it through.

    Default IVF/FET May-June 2016

Thanks @MAQ247 there is still hope, have to remember. Last time I had 7 fertilize and two made it to day 5. This time they're going to put one back in on day 4 if there are any left. If we end up with zero we may need to discuss day 3. It will be heartbreaking if after all of this there is nothing to put back in but I have to be realistic about that possibility. Bring on Friday I say

Sounds like you have a full on few weeks ahead. It always seems to happen at the same time. My DH just stopped a job where he was away 40% of the time so hard off to you for being a fifo wife. Hope you can find quiet time to stay recharged. You'll need it xx

Well ladies, off for my blood test this morning at 11dp5dt. No period as yet so I guess that's a little optimistic. But poas yesterday and got another negative so not getting my hopes up. Thought I was prepared for this roller coaster of emotions but I guess you can't really be prepared can you? Xx

Hi ladies, just trying to play catch up a little as I had a full on day yesterday, I went to Brisbane for my appointment and intralipid treatment so I left the house at 4am and didn't get home until 4pm, came home with a huge headache and took myself to bed early 😴
@Muchulu1 - Sorry to hear your appointment was so emotional hun, great that your fs was supportive though and you have a new plan moving forwards. Good luck with this next cycle xx
@lotsathoughts - I understand your disappointment at only having 3 that fertilised hun but as the other ladies have said it does only take one so you are definately still in with a chance.
@SurferGalGC - Thats great that everything went to plan for your appointment hun and you can get started asap, it was just meant to be. Good luck for this cycle.
@MAQ247 - Hoping af turns up soon and you can get started, its great yiu feel happy with your dose too as you said it can be upped if needed. Sounds like your next few weeks will be full on, take a break wherever you can hun x
@GM9 - Good luck with today's appointment hun, as was explained those feelings are all pretty normal and its what you want to feel, I feel relieved when I feel that sensation as I know my ovaries are working and doing there thing.

AFM - My appointment went well yesterday I got the go ahead to start injections and we have added in the growth hormone. So I am now a pin cunshion with 4 injections a day including the puregon, growth hormone, Luveris and cetrotide, the rolls coaster has well and truly took off again. Wazza has now got his hands tied and isn't able to do double transfers so we will just be putting back our one pgd tested embie and any fresh we get will be tested.

Thanks for your advice and well wishes. Scan went well, 7 good sized follicles so going ahead with the pick up on Friday!! I'm excited and scared, just like I'm sure most of us on here are for their first go.

Friday seems to be a good day for many of us, so here's hoping it's a good omen!
@lotsathoughts, 3 is a great number. I know that 'only' 3 from the number of eggs must be disheartening, but you never know, maybe all 3 will be good enough for transfer/freezing! Positive thoughts coming your way.
@Heyside, you seem to be there for a lot of people & have a lot of good advice for us newbies! Fingers crossed Wazza works his magic for you & this one is a sticky one!

    Baby dust for us all.

Great news on your scan @GM9 , 7 is great, its a strange feeling isn't it getting ready for that first EPU, lots of mixed feelings. Hope all goes well though and you get great numbers. Are you having anesthetic if so enjoy the sleep lol! Thanks for your kind thoughts too hun x
@lotsathoughts - quick question for you sorry tmi! I started the viagra yesterday and as I said I used it at the end of my last cycle as a last ditch attempt but really can't remember this happening! I lay down this morning with the pessary inserted but not sure if I lay down long enough as I have had bright blue discharge on my liner its very very strange! Did this happen to you at all, worrying now I didn't get any of the expensive medication.
