Sounds like It could be 5ths disease (slapped cheek) starts with a high temp, then on approx on the 5th day a rash and the cheeks look like they've been slapped. I think it's a viral thing, DS had it a few years ago, the temp was gone by the time the rash appeared then It just disappeared after a few days. I'd still get it confirmed by a GP though.

Thank you for your replies 😀 unfortunately it's hard to get into our doctor at short notice. We don't have the option for a doctor to do a home visit. That would be awesome if we could lol

I think I'll keep him home from swimming tomorrow just in case.

If you can't get to a dr what about a pharmacist?

Have a look at roseola on the Victoria government better health website. Could be that. I personally would skip swimming tomorrow, mainly because his skin is irritated.

The back looks like it could be a viral rash but the cheek looks like it could be something else?

Yeah I think will keep him home. No point risking it.

Oh of course. He's in bed after a bit of a battle. He hasn't really cheered up this evening.

I can take him to see the pharmacist in the morning and see what she says. Thanks 😀

I had a look at it, would his have flared up more by now if that's what it is? It is a salt water pool so I guess it could either make him feel better or worse but I think I'll skip swimming. Just in case.
