Default Initial appointment with Dr M - what to expect?

I've got my first appointment with Dr M on Thursday, via telephone. What can I expect from this? Is this where the follow up appointments are made?

Majority of tests I expect him to request have already been taken so I am hoping this eliminates some of the delay.

What additional information should I have on hand when speaking to him?

    Thanks so much!

I'm on that. The query was more relating to a first/initial appointment whereas the NK thread concentrates on a wider range of topics relating to it.

What goes around doesn't always come around I see....

All good, thanks for the reply BB.

I referred to that thread because most people on there are DrM's patients. Since no one seems to reply to your post here, that's why i suggested you to check there if you hadn't. I was on the phone so couldn't write a lengthy reply.

To answer you questions in case you haven't gotten any reply from the ladies on that thread.....

The conversation is usually short on the phone consult. Get to the point. Don't expect him to call on time. Write down a list of things you would like to ask. If he has any other test that he wants you to do, he will tell you and mails you the blood test form. You have to make your next appt with the office. He will try you to follow up N weeks later. Good luck.

Thanks BB, had it yesterday so ended up going in blind - so to speak. Turned out to be very beneficial, with an action plan as a result.

    Cheers

@ladyr I am glad your phone consult went well. Has he sent you and DH for some tests or had you already done them? I really hope he can help you.

I am in Sydney so I get to see him face to face which is nice. I saw him on Tues and will see him tomorrow when I do intralipids.

I have seen him several times now and still feel like I am going in blind each time.

    Best of luck to you.
