C'mon embies! Grade A is a fantastic result love! Well done you!

@Rubywoohoo good luck. Fx for a smooth transfer tomorrow.

@winsor how are you today hun? Im thinking of you gracie and your dh. Have you thought about your next step yet?

@Blossom good luck at the bank today lovely.

Afm i called wazza today he is on hols but they suggested i call gp. Gp is lovely and honest said she didn't know much about it but I made an appointment with her this arvo and she said sge will study up between now and then bless her. Anyway my research says dh and i should both be on it for 7 days i think. Fx it doesn't effect egg quality....thats both infection and AB's. Time will tell i guess.

@Summer how are things for you lovely? Have you sorted your next plan out with your dh yet?

thanks @infinity888. am going ok. easing back into work to keep me busy - I said I'd prob drop off in the afternoons as it's still a bit hard to concentrate. DP and I spoke about DE last night - not sure yet if he's onboard or just considering. I signed up for EDA site to find out more so will start some research. later that night I saw that a friend had worked on a piano/violin song called Grace so I was playing it on loop whilst he was sleeping. he came out and said I was being obsessive and to be careful of this (he'd been drinking & I don't think he likes ambient piano on loop ). I said, it's only been 2 days, I think this is to be expected. I've played songs/albums on loop heaps of time (& I find beautiful piano music very soothing). I didn't think there was anything wrong with this. anyway the RPA counsellor called this morning which was nice so I said I'd try see her in a couple of weeks. I think I'm handling things pretty well considering

Well @winsor I think you are just grieving and should have carte blanche to do what you like right now and into the foreseeable future. I also think you are doing great IMHO. It's only been a few days. At the same time DP is grieving too, so maybe music was a bit much for him? You've both lost Gracie, but everybody grieves so differently. Plus alcohol is a central nervous system depressant, so not great when you are down. Can you have track playing with headphones when he is home? When our dad died my brother and I played the one song non-stop for about a fortnight straight and 25 years later I still put it on repeat for hours on end at times. It makes me cry, but comforts me. It sounds like you are coping really well and are self-aware enough to know if you need help. The counsellor might be helpful in a few weeks when a bit of time has passed. G xo

ok so hold the phone -- counter to what the scientist said to me yesterday, Charlotte reckons we're still in the game for this cycle with a slim chance. Re finances - I also restructured my home loan and rolled renos and medical into it. I started costing DE at the same time as OE cycles. For us flying to SA it looked like about $16,000 (of which $5,000 was flights and accomm), for flying a donor to come here it was about $20,000, for us flying to USA it was $30,000, and World Egg Bank channels it was $30,000. I didn't look at non-scheme local donors as it looked like a long wait and difficult to arrange (for us anyway -- I think this is something that can really be helped by your clinic's networks).
That's super news!! Keeping everything crossed for you x

thanks @Gagingi, yes I stopped playing the song after he said this and found my headphones since then. I'll keep an eye on things and try be more considerate of him also - I hadn't realised it would annoy him so much

Ditto for testing positive to urea plasma and going on Doxy. It's a standard test with our FS. Anything that helps!
