Those prices were for my own egg cycle.

From memory @Blossom74 I think @Bongley and @Precious40 did DE cycles with local donors. If the clinic doesn't get back to you they would be the best ones to ask.

Thanks love. Hopefully @Precious40 might pop her head in and make a comment. @Bongley is still overseas with her family, she has enough to deal with ATM without adding my cr@p to it all as well. Thinking of you @Bongley

    thank you so much you gorgeous ladies for your support over the last 12 hours @infinity888 @Gagingi @greenlady @Tahli @BlondeinBrisvegas @Blossom74 @Precious40 @winsor @Petal40 ... I'm so glad I found this thread.

ok so hold the phone -- counter to what the scientist said to me yesterday, Charlotte reckons we're still in the game for this cycle with a slim chance. It seems we have an 8 cell and a 10 cell, both A grade, that have moved in the last 24 hours. It's day 5 so we are 2 solid days behind, but she wants to keep growing them for another day. I have a provisional ET time for tomorrow. I'm taking it one small step and one breath at a time today.

Re finances - I also restructured my home loan and rolled renos and medical into it. I started costing DE at the same time as OE cycles. For us flying to SA it looked like about $16,000 (of which $5,000 was flights and accomm), for flying a donor to come here it was about $20,000, for us flying to USA it was $30,000, and World Egg Bank channels it was $30,000. I didn't look at non-scheme local donors as it looked like a long wait and difficult to arrange (for us anyway -- I think this is something that can really be helped by your clinic's networks).

With the quote for DE there are also some costs not included ie, blood tests prior to starting, consultations prior to going "global", counselling and extra pharmacy costs. Ask your clinic if you can just pay the Medicare gap and not it all up front. I can search through my paperwork and find more exact costs later today if you would like?

@Rubywoohoo fingers (and toes) crossed for you. In my last cycle I was told they'd all fallen over 3 times and we ended up with 2 blasts on day 6. Grade A is awesome! Do you know when they actually did the ICSI? With our last cycle they were still cleaning up the eggs at 3pm, so ICSI/PICSI was after that and then they send through the report to FS by 8am. By my calculations my embies were day 5.5, not 6 in fact. A few hours is huge in little embie time. Wazza and Charlotte have both said to us that they have a lot of success with day 6 embies.

How are you traveling @BlondeinBrisvegas? You seem extra busy this week (or is that just being a mum pre-Easter)?
