Hi girls I know this has probably been asked a million times before but what's the rough dosage dr M puts you on for clexane? I know someone said around 25mg for pred. Any other vitamins we should be taking as well?

Hi @Apples1234 is that done through radiology? How do they flush the Fallopian tubes that way? Or is it done under GA in day clinic? And how much does it cost approx? I'm getting conscious of $$ as my savings are looking pretty dire. I had a bit of a google about it, research shows its especially helpful for women with endo, but not sure how much more benefit compared to water soluble flush. I'm pretty sure my FS has already flushed my tubes during endo excision. Apparently my tubes are fine but accupuncturist thinks the tubes are excreting toxins into my uterus - fixed by taking course of anti biotics 5 days before transfer. I'm yet to try this though, but FS is ok with me doing this.

@PreciousHeart thanks for the info. My FS is an endo specialist and thinks I have adeno too. Not sure how he diagnosed, but I'm having an mri on the uterus with another doc for other reasons but they'll be able to tell me for sure then. I've also asked him about zoladex etc and he doesn't feel it's warranted because it's normally done for women who've had endo removed via laser/burning hence they don't remove all the endo (think iceberg analogy) and believes the drugs will do more harm to me than good such as reducing my already low egg reserve and quality (although I don't think I have egg quality issues thank goodness). So I'm pretty satisfied with that response. I'm not sure I'm prepared to switch FS's yet. I'm with Michael cooper now and was with Gabrielle Dezarnaulds before. She was great really thorough too but I felt MC would have better understanding of me seeing as he knows my body better. I might get to the point where I want to change so I'll keep Allison in mind. MC is not totally against other options and he's not stopping me either. I think his problem is that if there's no strong evidence supporting somethings benefit, he doesn't see the need for it, which is fair enough, but in this situation where we're spending 10's of thousands of dollars, I feel like all options should be explored (as long as the potential harm is minimal) regardless of the data. So as long as he's not stopping me from exploring immune options then I'll stick with him for now. I feel like I've got great embryos and it's just my dodgy uterus that is the prob. So my solution is to make my uterus a better environment with dr m and hopefully go from there. Not sure how he'll respond to the lipiodol flush though.

@Hopeful59 I completely agree! I guess doctors are concerned about making sure they're providing evidence based practice and not being reckless about their treatment but then they're dealing with women who are desperate to get answers and have a baby so it's I get its such a difficult juggling act. It must frustrate them, but it's equally frustrating to us. Sometimes we have to be our own advocates though.

I am on 40mg to start 1 week before transfer. Does anyone know Dr Ms protocol on taking the clexane on the day of transfer? Should i take it on transfer day or skip it?

Did Dr M say why his protocol skips clexane on transfer day? Just curious.

I would guess do if you bleed it will clot better and stop if you aren't on it as it is a blood thinner.

Hi Mink, MC did my 4 hour myomecty in 2008, he wasn't doing ivf then. I was surprised to see him on geneas team for ivf a couple of years ago I must say. Found him a real cowboy, I was bruised all over & in hospital he told me to go for a jog after a week's recovery. Well I couldn't walk without holding onto a wall for 2 weeks & had giant clots coming out of me for 6weeks with no warning from him or his rooms. My OB said what I went thru was heaps worse than a Caesar. Good luck, I hope he is doing everything right for you. ML should have given me zoladex for adeno but he didn't through 4 transfers, he didn't even mention it, despite it being present since 2013, I worked it all out myself & Prof Tremellen said I had zero % chance of implantation with my adeno situation so the immune meds were taken for nothing (IVIG, neupogen, steroids, clexane) look after yourself. All the best xx
