    Default happiness is an inside job..

    But fitting your favourite jeans sure feels great . I've come to conclude comfort eating is a thing and never knew that till recently. Its been soooo lonely. Kids go to bed, dh is either working interstate or bonding with the couch. Hello double coated timtams! So glad I found some joy in every day again. It reached a point where on my birthday which was in january, I no longer cared if I was the fat chick running. I also run like gumby apparently. Care factor zero! I love the feeling of freedom. And the energy boost afrerwards. Then the occasianal care center which enabled these morning jaunts closed down. So headphones it is. This month I'd be satisfied with a 2kg loss.

    If I put my goal in writing, it might motivate me, so yes I'm in! I lost 4kgs in Jan/Feb but found 2 of those while on holiday a couple of weeks ago. And a very stressful week has left me a very emotional eater. WAAAY to many chips and chocolate easter eggs
    So, starting weight 69.5kg, 1st goal 67kg

    I was just about to start my own weight loss thread when I saw this. Must be a sign 😃
    I'd like to join you ladies, too. I don't have a lot to lose, but have gained around 5kg since the end of last year which is a lot as it's barely March 😞
    So I'd like to get back down to my goal weight, which is 60kg (right now floating 65kg). This is my happy weight and allows me to fit in a size 10-12.
    My weight is predominantly around my middle, so for me even a gain of just a few kilos results in that constant heavy bloat feeling and the muffin protrudes and I look 5 months pregnant.

    Can I ask what methods ya'll are using? I will consider starting the 5:2 fasting plan (had great success with it in the past) but might go the traditional route this time, not sure.
    I'll aim to start this Monday (14th) as I have an event on Saturday which will involve lots of yummy food! 😃

    my problem is, i eat when i read.. if im not chewing on something i feel odd...
    what's everyone eating for snacks?

    I do best with low carb. Allows be to feel full, no energy highs and lows i get from carbs. Protein snacks are harder to always have on hand but they keep me full. I use sugar free dark chocolate as a treat after dinner

    I have found with this I chew a half a piece of chewing gum between meals stops me from snacking constantly.

    i do too! i think i'm addicted to it... it's quite awful really as i just cannot go anywhere outside the house without it..

    years ago, when I was doing a shakes diet, I think 'extra' chewing gum was allowed. ?? one with no sugar, but I don't think you would be wise to chew gum for the rest of the day. maybe cleaning your teeth could get past the need to be chewing. ??
    I am so happy to see more people joining along. I want to loose 2 kg this month and another 2 next month. In April, we will have a party to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and I want to be about 5 kgs less by then. I have two very nice dresses on layby, and it would be so cool to wear a new dress and look super. marie.
