    Thanks for all of your thoughtful replies.

    I think my heart probably wants another one, but my head is all 'What about this', 'What about that', and 'Don't you remember how hard it was with a newborn', and 'what if it doesn't work', 'what if there are problems with bub', 'how do people even afford two kids' etc, round and round..

    How do I decide? Maybe it's time for a good old fashioned pros and cons list...

    We knew we wanted more than one, when was the question. initially i wanted an 18mnth gap but i wasn't ready to ttc when he was 9 months... we ended up ttc when he was about 19 months old. it took us 20ish months to fall. and bub came along a few weeks after he turned 4.

    Its been a good gap. ds1 could understand that i was busy with bub so couldn't do xyz immediately and he went to childcare etc plus enjoyed sleepovers at nans house.

    I will add i found the uncertainty and decision making so hard but once we decided yes we are ready and do want another....i knew it was right
