No TV's, and great for kids. Food is great, and the staff treat you like family, and every time I go back there it's like I'm going home!
So I guess I'm biased... But castaway is lovely!
Raddison blu was good, you can't really swim in the beach, and the pool can get a little crowded, but it has good access to the marina for dinner (with the plus it's usually a bit cheaper then the resorts) or you can eat at the other resorts too. Best meals we had at the marina was by far at the Rhum Bar!
    Castaway is fantastic!

Yes the trip out turned me off with a 2 year old. But when we are ready to look at going to Fiji I definetly think it would be worth the trip

We just got back from there. Such a big resort. Lucky for us it was really quiet since its the hottest month right now. We had a few issues (no air con working, moved rooms, then had to move again because of suspected bed bugs). It's ok for the money but there are lots of nicer places. The waterslide was a huge hit with our toddler. The staff were very friendly.

    Recommendations:
I would try have dinner at Anandas restaurant as it's much better food than the buffet and is also on the meal plan. The food at Lomanis (the adult only resort next door) was average and not worth paying additional for on top of the meal plan.
I would also recommend doing lunch one day at musket cove resort which is walking distance away as the food is nice. You can also go to the island bar at the marina either just for drinks (the beers are colder than at plantation), or you can organise a BBQ pack and cook your own BBQ there.

Looking at flights they all seem to arrive later in the afternoon, so I'm thinking we spend a night or two near the airport, just so we can make the most of the resorts. Has anyone done this? Recommendations?

We stay 1 night in Denauru or get a seaplane out to the islands. Means you dont waste a day feeling like you are still in transit.
