    Default Reply time email from resort?

    Would you deem this an unacceptable reply time?

    Long story short researching our next holiday, found a great resort but it needs renovations. TripAdvisor replies indicate it's up for refurb this year so I emailed the resort asking when and if they are occurring as we're looking at coming up later in the year. Did that last night.
    Lunch today got a reply saying no renovations happening and what dates etc to see what deal they can come up with, still haven't got a reply 7 hours later.
    I would think in this competitive market we would have got quicker responses

    Depending on where or is, could it be out of office hours?

    If not, I'm pretty impatient so it would be too long for me and I'd be searching other hotels. I don't have time to wait for back and forward emails.

    Email with dates, etc was about noon so well within working hours

    Doesn't mean they have someone sitting on emails. The person who operates the front desk might have been busy. Or needed to check something with someone who was away.

    I wouldn't consider it unacceptable as such, but if there's still no reply by tomorrow morning I'd be looking at other resorts.

    Although I would like to hear back within a few short hours. I think 24hrs is reasonable for a reply, as long as all my questions are answered. But if Im too impatient I just call instead of emailing if it isnt overseas

    It was just over 24 hours and for the price quoted it's cheaper to go to Fiji so now looking at that
