I've gone via SuperCare for the second time and I swore after the first time I wouldn't bother again. I just cannot see what value they add for the cost. I do all the running around , make the appts. email, scan, sign... They seem to simply collate the paperwork and submit. They've even increased the subsequent application fee from the last time I went.
And now they are driving me nuts with their constant follow up like I have nothing else to do with my day like a busy full time job...

I will definitely be doing this myself from now on and at my own pace. Really helpful thread. Thank you so much!
Hi @CanberraHopeful....sorry to hear about your experiences with Supercare. That's awful they've taken to cold calling you. I hope all goes well with your own super ivf applications and if you had any queries happy to try answer them. Best wishes xo

Had my psychiatrist appointment today. He diagnosed me with adjustment disorder, fingers crossed DHS consider that to be a chronic or acute mental illness!! The psychiatrist should know what he's doing as he does work for SuperCare. Now I just have my GP appointment on Friday to confirm what he's written and the quote from the Fertility Clinic. As far as I was aware all I needed was a quote from them but they seem to think I need a letter from their medical director also.

Good luck @georgieh! I got both my ivf dr to fill out the dhs medical form as well as my gp (in addition to my psychiatrist- l was trying to be thorough)...but when l heard from Dhs they said whilst they were happy to get 3 forms, only one dr plus psychiatrist filled out form was fine. Best wishes xo

I have just logged my application through supercare. I didn't find $980 excessive and my supercare helper has been so good!

    Please don't knock them

I also had a very good experience with Super Care. I think they are a little expensive but I can't knock the level of service that I received.

I've found it easy to do it myself, I just didn't want to spend $980 when I thought I could do it myself. Took a bit of research though.

We were already well into IVF at the time we applied so I opted to 'outsource' the stress of the process as I really didn't need any more stress at that stage. Now that I have been through the process, if I had to go back and do it again I would probably do it myself since I now pretty much know what to do so wouldn't find it so stressful. Good on you for taking it on yourself and saving the $980

    Default Super Release for IVF

    Hi Guys,
Reading everyone's stories - THANKYOU! I am at the beginning of the process to get early release of my super to fund my IVF. I am going it alone (without SuperCare) and am based in Perth. If anyone has any pointers or psychiatrists to contact I would be VERY grateful. I have a Drs appt tomorrow and then IVF Specialist appt next week, but am concerned about the Psych appt (wanting someone that knows the deal with the release of super for this purpose) and approx cost if you've done it before would also be appreciated! Thanks xxx

Hi @georgieh I hope you're all sorted now!

I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing your Psychiatrists details with me?

    THANKYOU
