@Summer I'm so sorry, please don't regret trying all avenues. It could be your embryos running out of steam as BIB says. If you'd transferred triple AAA quality embryos and you were getting the same result I'd think it was your oven too but I guess we just don't know for sure when it's happening naturally every few months.

@Summer - sorry you are having a tough run at the moment. Everyone here can empathise with you.

I agree with Charlie74s suggestion to get your own karotyping done if you haven't already. My sister kept falling pregnant easily and had several chemicals and then two miscarriages at 10 and 12 weeks. At that point she had her and DHs karotyping done and turned out she had a balanced translocation if two chromosomes which was causing all her losses. After that I had mine tested and was ok. My sister did have another child naturally - she got lucky on her last spin of the wheel before she was due to start IVF.

I just went to the health food shop to buy more ubiquinol. Usually I buy herbs of gold but there was none left so I bought bioceuticals - $171 for two bottles of 150mg X 60!! Anyway the lady serving told me that I should not drink coffee within an hour of taking it as statins in the coffee blocks the receptors for the ubiquinol. I chug mine back with my morning coffee every day!!

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this advice? Worried I've been taking these things for over 6 months and then negativing their benefit.

A weird one...I did my normal Clexane injection at 9am. At 2pm I noticed a large red patch on the front of my skirt. I pulled my skirt down and my tummy skin was saturated in fresh blood. My Clexane injection site decided to bleed a treat 5 hours after the injection. Odd.

@Charlie74 I'm in the same boat. My sisters wedding is in 6 weeks and usually I could just dash into Gorman and splurge on a dress for such a special occasion..but there's not a chance in hell now. I'm usually a 10/12 which is fine by me but thanks to Pred I'd be lucky If I could squeeze into a 16. Super depressing. And I'll be surrounded by super hipsters/glamazons too!!

Oh hon, that lady has got her stuff all mixed up and shouldn't be giving health advice!!! Statins are a class of drug known as HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors. They are a DRUG not a natural compound and not found in coffee. Statins are cholesterol lowering drugs that also lower CoEnzyme Q10 in the body as the same pathway that makes cholesterol also makes CoQ10 (ubiquinol). So if you're taking a statin you should take CoQ10 to make up for the deficiency the drug creates.

It sounds like she means the Tannins in coffee, not statins, and tannins in tea and coffee can inhibit the absorption of some minerals such as iron and calcium, but I don't think they inhibit the absorption of Q10 specifically. I always take my supps away from coffee (even though it's decaf) just in case it does inhibit some absorption, but I don't believe there is any truth to coffee blocking receptors for Q10. Sounds like she's a bit muddled up there.

OK, so I'm booked in for a Hysteroscopy on the 7th March and I just looked in my massive folder of blood tests and we have had karyotyping done.

    For DH it just says:
Male karyotype, 46,XY. No abnormality detected.

    For me:
46,XX. Female. No abnormalities were detected by conventional cytogenetic analysis.

Is that it? It was called a Chromosome Analysis of Blood.

thanks, good idea. I might stock up. I only felt queasy for a few minutes today (& yesterday). it stopped when I ate something. so I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse than this! I do seem to have the super smell though, as today's tomato on my roll smelt funny so it was kicked off. and I seem to be able to smell from across the room now. will see how it progresses. thanks for asking

@Charlie74 the pred sucks but it's strange this time round for me. I realise everything is better for me when I'm on it. When I'm off it life sucks. On it I had more energy therefore I was walking 5kms everyday and eating a lot less. I managed to actually lose weight on it. However coming off it my face is once again a pizza, I'm tired as hell and I'm putting the weight back on. I wish I could stay on it permanently oh and also have a baby please.
