Some schools may call it something else.

The parents and citizens group. At state schools in WA the p and c organises social events for the parents and kids and also is responsible for fundraising. Not sure what it would be called in SA.

    Default Alcohol at school events

No alcohol allowed on NSW public school grounds during school hours. Not even a sneaky wine on the last day for teachers

This is why I was shocked. I simply hadn't heard of it before. Although I'm sure by the last day of the year u would need more than a sneaky wine 😂

Just want to add that it could be different in other NSW public schools. Would depend on demographics I guess.

But are you talking about alcohol at school "during school hours"? I'm not. I'm talking about fetes etc which are weekend activities.

Well it's not something that has ever occurred at the school I work at in the 11 years I've worked there but it's very low ses so the potential for fundraising is not great and I have never seen it at the school my children go to but the school has predominantly Muslim students so not really a huge market for alcohol
