Well, I came back in the morning to someone telling me my medical results sitting in front of me didn't exist, and you're post saying I was wrong for something I hadn't said...

    Defences up.

I was just making a distinction between Rubella (German measles, and that it is very contagious and dangerous to pregnant women) and Measles (also very contagious) as there seems to be some confusion throughout the thread. I know somebody who lost their baby to rubella so I was just clarifying as it's close to my heart. I wasn't having a go at you.

At my work we do all the pre-uni vax screening for students beginning studies to be health professionals (Medicine /nursing /physio etc), and get a lot (1 to 3/week at least) through with negative measles serology. Most students are aged 18-30 and in the cohort who have only had 1 MMR in childhood... of course this is why they bought in the 2nd childhood MMR vax. We also do serology on a lot of travellers and have quite a lot of negative results.
Maybe I don't see it because you have caught them all before they get to me.

Hugs Hun, how stressful for you!

I would be calling a health line and asking them about you attending work before going in. If there is still a risk it could be passed on to you and you don't know your immunity, I'd be staying home if it were me.

Can you find out today exactly what the child has contracted and if the child is immunised?

It's another worker that has it. I'll be asking today if she was vaccinated.
