    Default your ideal Valentine's Day

so I'm not normally too fussed about v day as it's all just trumped up hallmark BS. right?

however, putting all the commercialized crap aside for a few moments, what would be your ideal Valentine's Day?

I don't want flowers as they're a bit of a waste of money and we will go out for a nice dinner the following week for our wedding anniversary (if I'm not in labour 😂) so was just thinking about what would be nice.

I would love it if dh just took me to burch & purchese (or some equally divine yet frightfully overpriced cake shop) and we just ate yummy cakes til we could eat no more. I think that would be pretty much my ideal Valentine's Day right now. oh and I wouldn't say no to washing it down with a sip (or glass! lol) of champagne!!

edited to add: and tell us what you actually are doing/think you'll end up doing.

my actual day so far: we have a baby cpr/emergency first aid course in the morning on the other side of town. that finishes up around lunch time so hoping dh will suggest a nice lunch someplace if it's not too busy. I might suggest in/around south yarra so I'm in good proximity to a few of my favorite cake shops 😂😂

A child-free afternoon of leisurely shopping with some guilt-free spending money (DH likes to shop too ), followed by checking in to a fancy hotel.

Following that, dinner out at a fancy restaurant and drinks afterwards in a classy quiet bar.

My ideal Valentine's Day would involve a man to celebrate it with hahahahaha.

My actual Valentine's Day? I'll be ironing and baking.

I know how to live 😂

Connoisseur icecream and The Walking Dead. Which is what I'll be doing, on my own, as DH is going away for work on Sunday.

Mine would just to sleep beside the man I love because we are both working Saturday and Sunday night so to spend a full day without him going home because my mum is staying the whole weekend to look after kiddo. Maybe throw in some fishing coz he loves fishing and I don't mind it because we are actually together.

My ideal day. Hmm maybe a nice day at the park with kids followed by early dinner for kids and hubby and I have a late dinner. Snuggle on couch watching a movie followed by a great session 'special cuddles'...

My actual day will be something like this. Church. Shopping on the way home. Dh will hand mowing our acre because the ride on is broken and its rained almost every bloody day and grass is flying out of the ground on some mission to the moon.
Than we will have what ever I have put on in the slow cooker and maybe watch a movie.

I'm not too phased. My DP made me a handmade card after we had a little fight the other night. I found it on the fridge door when i got up for a drink of water in the middle of the night. He had put a lot of effort into it, and he's really not that sentimental usually, so to me that's worth more than 100 bunches of flowers.
