Default Hello all, new to this site today and looking for advice on TTC

    Hi everyone,

I thought I would join a site for women TTC as I feel like I need some support. I'm 36 and my partner and I have been TTC for the past 4 months. I have been using OPK kits and also the Ovia app which I'm not sure of at the moment as it does not seem to predict my fertile days correctly. I wanted to ask if anyone here has trouble 'monitoring their cervical fluid'? I know that's meant to be a very accurate sign of ovulation, however I never seem to get to that 'egg white' bit. Has anyone used the Ovia app with success or any other apps that are better? I am trying my hardest to not stress re the whole thing, but when you really want a baby, it's hard! Hope to hear back from someone.

Hi! I use the app Kindara, it's pretty helpful! Also you could join the thread of your ttc month, for example I'm in the February testing thread, as I will HPT at the end of this month. There are plenty of ladies in these threads that are possibly on similar CDs as you and could help you out

Hi there britt, thanks for replying! I'm a little slow still with the abbreviations of TTC stuff...what does HPT mean? I did look at kindara, dowloaded it but actually found it quite confusing to use? What always makes me a bit worried with the Ovia app is the last 2 months I never seem to be actually getting positive OPKs within the fertile window, for example my fertile window has already finished on my app and says 'I have finished my fertile period' but then I have not gotten a positive OPK yet? It seemed to work for first couple of months, but now Im confused. It's also a little annoying for me bc my periods are a little confusing- getting spotting usually after or before period (just after or just before) so never know whether you are meant to count spotting as your period or regular flow??!!
