Default Clear blue digi - conception indicator accurate?

Hi ladies, I'm 5w today and based on my hcg levels on Wednesday, the clear blue digi should be reading 3+ as of yesterday and it's still saying 2-3. Are the conception indicator a load of crap like I've heard?

I'm so anxious about this pregnancy after DPs miscarriage last year and I thought this would ease my worries but it's just made them worse. I'm off to the GP today and I think I'll request more bloods, but just for now, can anyone offer some comfort?

Yes Luv, they're only about 92% accurate for actually "dating" how far along you are based on HCG levels. The parameters Clearblue use are based on research only so definitely not an exact science.

    Read this link:

    http://www.myinformedlife.co.uk/my-c...-freaking-out/

I say put the sticks away (digital or otherwise) now Luv. You're Preggo and they're not going to be able to tell you anything more than that at this stage. Far better to have BT's done every 3-4 days until your scan if anxiety is getting the better of you and I can understand why it would be

I'm sure everything is going just as it should be

and prayers being sent for a lovely level today!!!

Hey they made me quite anxious too till I read this link

    http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/cdrh_d...ws/K112870.pdf

From page 6 is a guide to the readings shown on different hcg levels. So up to a hcg reading of 3200 a lot were still showing 2-3 weeks. I see your hcg was 550 on the 3rd so if it was doubling every 48 hours you would be around 3000 (and its normal to double up to every 72 hours so could even be less!) which puts you in the right level for 2-3. If you were to use one tomorrow or even Wednesday I'm sure it would be at 3+. Those things drove me crazy but I'm now 13 weeks and I was getting 2-3 up till I was 6 weeks, so try not to let them stress you out

Thanks guys, I'm such a ball of nerves. I feel sick, and I don't know if it's MS or just nerves. I just got my bloods done so I will get my results either this afternoon or tomorrow (probably tomorrow).

Don't stress too much! I did a digi the afternoon before my BT and it still came up at 2-3 and the next morning my hcg was 5700. Which clearly should have been 3+. I've heard a lot of similar stories too so they can be dodgy.

it wouldnt be unusual for them to be rough guideline and a little bit out,
a few days out either way I wouldnt stress,

I understand why you are though with what youve all been through

    all fingers crossed for you

Totally crap in my opinion, mine didn't tick over to 3+ weeks until I was 6 or 7 weeks from memory, and that was with twins.

My HCG was also on the low side but I have just put two happy healthy 6 month old boys to bed so try not to stress yourself out lovely (super hard I know!).

Thought I would update: yesterday my hcg was 2882.

Pretty much exactly where it should be.

NEVER USING THESE DAMN TESTS AGAIN.

I feel so relieved knowing my baby or babies are hanging on tight.
