V-Day is totally an over commercialised load of BS!!

However, if a beautiful bunch of flowers arrived at my door...I wouldn't send them back!!😊

Hasn't happened yet so not holding my breath!!!😁😁😁

Yeah, its a croc and I never go out on the night. I get my guy a stupid card though usually and make sure I heavily hint a few days before so he gets me one or something like a bottle of wine, whatever, its just nice to have a tiny bit of effort expended. No wine this year though. God I miss my alcohol. *grits teeth*

Cake it will have to be instead (until I get GD)
@BlondeinBrisvegas ah geeze you sound well sick there! I hope you can get some much needed rest to knock this thing on the head
@Charlie74 that is all just so damn stressful, I can understand why you don't know what to do if its 6mm, that's what our doctors are supposed to be for. All you can do is outline your worries to them and take their advice and make the call. It's all on our shoulders isn't it?

    Hi girls,

We don't celebrate Valentines Day - never have and never will. I just see it as a shameless money-spinner and we have no spinning money left so it will just pass quietly by for us.

@Charlie74, I can feel your anxiety just reading your posts. Hugs to you, it is a stressful business. My two cents for what they are worth: Have a think about what you really feel in your heart to be a good enough lining to transfer. It might be 6mm, it might be 10mm. Then when you get your scan done, go with that gut instinct. I am pretty shocking with my memory at the moment, but surely it can be arranged for you to try again next month? Don't be afraid to say "Ya know what, I'm not happy with that. My embies are too precious to waste." So much rests on everything being 'just so' and you shouldn't feel forced into doing a transfer if your gut is telling you your lining is anything less than ideal.

@Tahli, I can't believe you're only just noticing Call The Midwife! I have both series and the Christmas special on dvd, and there are 4 books which I also have. they are a fabulous read if you ever get the chance.

@BIB, I'm sorry you're still under the weather. And good on you for hitting the couch for some down time. Rest and plenty of fluids love.

@Blossom I didn't think I'd have the emotional strength to watch Call The Midwife so I passed on checking it out. I most probably have the emotional strength right now until I hit another big bump in the IVF road!
Even though I have a child it doesn't make watching births, birth announcements, seeing a friends newborn, getting texts from a pregnant friend who started ttc no 2 when I did, etc any easier. It doesn't become less painful when ttc no 2. It should of course but the deep wounds are still there.
I see the ABC shop has series 1-4 plus xmas special for $70. Valentines Day pressie??

Yeah, I get that hon. I'm just different I guess. I love One Born Every Minute, Call The Midwife, holding new babies etc. I crave all of that sort of stuff actually. Maybe it's just because I haven't had the opportunity to do that with my own child that I feel that way, I don't know. I cry when I watch all of these shows but it's happy tears - almost like living vicariously through the new Mother's joy.

@Charlie74- I can totally understand the pressure and anxiety build up. I've never been in a position to transfer but I know I would feel the same. You just want everything to be in place to give you the best chance of success. Sometimes it's a case of do what you can with what you have where you are.
i really hope your lining stumps up tomorrow for you and alleviates some of your concerns.
@Blossom74 - I love Call the Midwife. I watched one born every minute last night. I find it addictive.

@Charlie74 I can completely understand your stress and anxiety but I agree. You can only make a decision based on your gut instinct once you have that scan result. A hot bath sounds like a nice way to spend the evening and an early night. Thinking of you x

Hi ladies. Been another crazy day for me but work helped keep the tears at bay mostly and now have had acupuncture so feel a bit calmer. My acupuncturist tutted me for poas and said do NOT do it tomorrow. I figure that she's probably right. I know that I'm going to see a bfn and that will just make the day harder rather than easier. Thankfully I'll get the blood test result and then have the whole weekend to grieve and try to refocus from next week.
