If you have just started shopping at the local small supermarket and you are dragging a toddler, a baby in a carrier and a small half trolley around and your baby starts screaming as you're running late as it's bubs nap time
Do you give up and go home
Do you push on with screaming baby and trying to drag toddler around
Note: none of the items are immediately needed. The shop is small so only has a couple of trolleys and small aisles so nobody can pass you comfortably

Unless any of the terms you're grabbing are chocolate, lollies or ice cream, in this scenario I think I'd go home.

I would settle baby as best I could, go quicker to get shopping done and go

I wouldn't push on shopping, but I would go straight top the register, pay and get out of there. I'd feel funny just dumping a half full trolley for staff to unpack.
And ditto to the wine and chocolate. Def essentials!

Me. I have put toddler in the trolley and bub on the boob while in carrier and kept doing what I am doing. I rarely go home for naps or bad behaviour. But that's me.
I think you should do what ever makes life easier for you without making life harder on others. Iykim.

If it was more shopping that what a servo/general store can give me, I would push on but it's because I would be more than 2 hours from home so not just a quick trip.
Also, I push on shopping. Settle children best I can and continue on. I'm not really one for going home to settle the children. I might go outside of they are being especially disruptive, but only to settle before going back in to do it again.
