    Takes me about a year to realise. Then I shrug my shoulders and move on with life.

    A mix of both! As a previous social anxiety sufferer it is sometimes difficult for me to add people, but I push through

    But I don't have a lot of friends and haven't stayed in touch with lots of people. I would feel weird adding someone I haven't spoken to in ages or didn't know well.

    I wait to be invited. I don't want people to feel intruded on. I don't know. I can be annoying so I let them decide weather they can handle that or not.

    I've only been on FB for under a year - yes, I know, I arrived late to that party! And aside from when I was setting up my account, I have never sent a friend request.

    Woe-betide anyone who sends me one too, because 9 times out of 10 you will be rejected!

    I am in the fortunate position where I have 32 friends on FB and every single one of them is a genuine friend or close relative. I am not interested in accumulating a hundred friends who are not really friends IRL.

    So I am very selective! And best of all I never need to worry about "How do I de-friend this person" because I love everyone I have on my friends list
