Congrats @brimrush. I want two of them too please!!

Hope all goes well for you @piratehamster88. Thinking of you.

Well this week I found out about my donor. She seems like a great match. I was told age, height, weight, hair colour and texture, eye colour, complexion, ethnicity, blood group and education level. She is also a proven donor which is a good thing.

Only 5 weeks till we leave for Greece. Have booked my Zoladex implant and scans. Has anyone else used Zoladex? Apparently it can help your lining.

Hi CherryCP- I use Zolodex and find it much better than other down reg methods. You do get hot flushes the longer you are on it though. Getting the implant is not too bad if the Dr is good at it - no different to your average needle. But I got my GP to do it once when my FS was away and my goodness it was unpleasant!

Very exciting about your donor- and that 5 weeks will go very quickly!

Hi @CherryCP. I'm on zoladex. It's ok. I do suffer from the hot flushes and some aches but really considering what we've all been through on this journey it's really no big deal. My FS always gives me a local before he injects it. Never had any issue with that.
5 weeks, I think we will be there about then as well. So exciting. Can't wait.

Thanks. So a GP should be able to inject the Zoladex implant? Like I shouldn't have to ring and check they can do it? Do they need a special device or is it like the ones they use for contraceptive pellet implants? I've never had it done before... I hope it isn't too painful...

Hi @CherryCP. The Zoladex comes in a special needle. Not sure if it's the same as the contraceptive one. If you're worried about the pain I'd just get the Dr to give you a local. I didnt ask my FS just gave me one.

@CherryCP - if your Dr is good at it then it's not bad at all, just a quick needle, even without a local it's really no biggie. If your Dr is not good at it (and let's face it, you'll only find out when it's too late!) then it feels pretty average and downright weird, but it's over quickly. I've never had the local, but it's not a bad idea and if ever I had to get my GP to do it again, I'd get the local cos she was terrible at it!
