Thanks CherryCP - Wazza's girls sticking together!! When I spoke to them about all the tests, I got the impression that it'd all be covered (especially after having to pay for scans and bt's here in Cairns), but like you I just did some googling, and it does seem that CF testing isn't covered. I think you only get a concession if your first child has CF, and they'll offer it at a lesser rate for subsequent pregnancies - nothing like closing the gate after the horse has bolted!

Hope you're taking it easy and those embies are well snuggled in

He had the bloods done today and we were told that, despite the "Bulk Bill" box being ticked, we are still up for $310 to pay for the CF test - is this normal? We went ahead, because Dr Nikos needs it for our July cycle, and we're not about to stuff anything up on that front.
It's surreal - less than 3 weeks ago we were hoping for a good embie to transfer, and now we're half way organised to go to Greece for a DE in July. Talk about a quick turnaround on thought processes!
Hi we had test done for DH as I had it done for me when we were doing Ivf, just to be safe and yes we had to pay for each of us for the test. It's not covered under Medicare.

@CherryCP hope everything is still going well for you.
@ Vixjc not sure if I congratulated you....if not CONGRATULATIONS! @gorgeousgeorge sound like your moving ahead with your plans and you've decided on Greece...you go girl!

And sounds like there are lots of new plans in the works....there will be more beautiful Donor Angel babies cooking away soon I'm sure.

One more sleep for me to decide our fate I'm feeling pretty good to be honest, usually by now I'd 'have that feeling' and usually be right. This time I'm still feeling good, I think just knowing that our embryo's aren't made from my crappy eggs has made a difference to how I'm feeling about this cycle.

It's gorgeous weather for 'doing nothing' which is what I'm doing...catching up on some TV and procrastinating about doing some housework (I'm terrible at domestic duties). I keep thinking that I'll get some mop body suits made up for any little babies we have, so they can clean the floors while they crawl around...hehe is that terrible. I so which I'd thought of that 20 odd years ago when I had my son...I was OCD about cleaning and housework back then...oh how I've changed.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend ladies!
    G

@Gen72 aaargh the suspence is killing me! One more day! Have you poas? I know id be feeling so hopeful after a donor tranafer too. Its really like starting ivf for the first time all ocer again-if that makes sense. Afm, im stressing out about which clinic to use! I was thinking embryoland but now im thinking serum. I prob better check them both out because this is probably the mosts important decision I'll ever make, lol, and definitely the most expensive one! Im also feeling a little rushed at the thought of going in july and wondering if i should just chill and go in september. Im so impatient but ive waited 7 years so a coupke of months difference is nothing really.
