I own a Kleenmaid Dryer, which is so big it requires a 20A socket.
It is the love of my life.
(I'm in Melbourne too).
I use it every day. It cuts down significantly on ironing time...I am OCD about ironing, and when things have been through the dryer, they generally only require a light press.
I love it. It's on day or night.
It does have a bi-metallic strip arrangement, so it cuts off if it overheats.
I also clean lint filter with every use.
