Yes and then they can't feed as they are too upset. I've always just lay with my top off and kept bub on my chest. That way the skin/skin is good for both of you. Remember each feed let's out lots of happy oxytocin for both of you.

Oh I'm so jealous. I want a newborn again!!!.

yes you're totally correct. I'll be doing this once we're home. hospital has been fabulous but I just can't relax here and find a groove. people popping in every 3 seconds and the op has knocked me for 6. feeling also like I've been unable to utilize all feeding positions due to being unable to move or have bub lay across me in certain ways. just looking forward to getting home and back in our own environment etc.

I'm a bit obsessed with having a newborn. he's so lovely.

dh is very textbook/rules oriented and has been struggling as he feels we are letting bub down when bub cries/is inconsolable. I said he's just as fried and clueless as we are and it's only been a day and a half. we all need to just relax and work together πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

I agree! You have a fabulous attitude and you will all be fine.

And yes, he will want to feed constantly. I also hust had top off and lay with DS and he fed on and off while I could rest.

I am soooooo sore after this mornings adventure. We walked up the beach to the local markets (I am not from the coast) so the sand walk has exhausted my legs. We then went swimming in the pool with DS for a while. Finally sat down and now it is hard to get up lol.

Soooooo need a nap. Not sure if we should just put DS for a nap soon or just later.

this just made me realise despite how completely scared I am about the arrival of our unexpected little gift - I'm actually really excited to have those special newborn moments again

    Excited!

I fit into a size 16 from a normal store (Forever New). It didn't fit in November when I brought it.

    Now to keep on track!

this is us right now. I got up and just went into feeding mode. he ended up on both sides for about 40-50 mins in total then just fell asleep on my boob and has been there ever since.

he seems happy and fed so I'm happy and we now get a chance to rest/relax.

    I am laughing at ds
Ds "mum I want to listen to Accadacca"
    Me: "you mean ACDC?"
DS: "no mum I mean Accadacca"
