You know you don't want to pay $3k to head back to CT for the third embryo if it's not going to thaw well.
You and your FS decide to thaw the third embryo to see if it's better than the second embryo, but it also turns out to be not so great.
You know you want to transfer the great one. What do you do with the two 'not so great' embryos?

Me, I'm conservative. I reckon I'd only thaw one to start with. I can't bare the thought of letting a potentially good emby go just because it didn't look quite right. Not quite right looking embies have resulted in babies in the past, I'm sure!

In fact, I've just signed some consent forms and posted them off to my clinic stating that in my next cycle, if by Day 3 there are two embies that are looking like they won't be making it to freeze stage, I want them both transferred in. I'm sh!tscared of twins but the odds are so low, and I can't bare the thought that those embies might not make it to the freezer and would therefore be destroyed somehow. DH was on board with that too. He said "I don't want them to just die, they are our last chance." A fertilised emby is so very precious and I wouldn't want to waste any of them.

I guess what I'm getting around to @Tahli is that if you thaw two and they both survive, I'd be transferring those in. I'd save one for a 'last hurrah' and spend an extra $3K if it was another chance to have a baby. If I had the money, that is....

@Tahli how would you cope with twins? Work wise, financially, emotionally and physically. We have had to adjust to it but there is two of us and no other children. It's a tough call, but if I were you, I'd still transfer two because you've had a lot of BFN's and while you were on the immune protocol too. No way in the world would I transfer 3 though - too high a risk of twins. If one is iffy, defrost the third and choose the best two I reckon and refreeze the worst one. It's hard to justify going back to CT for one average embie though..
I've always had a feeling you'd end up with twins for some reason, but I've never been remotely psychic and my women's intuition has been broken for decades so don't worry about me !

I'm not lol. Crinone and pessaries all went up there after the first two cycles. Those hard clumps of unsexy muck didn't help my s3x life one bit so I made them go away !

Further to the brief mention of Zika Virus worries the other day - the Australian Government has set up a website https://smartraveller.gov.au/bulletins/zika_virus and apparently some airlines are offering refunds to pregnant women.

Just what we need on top of IVF stress!
