Oh, I'm a sucker for their weekly specials!! 🙈🙊 I love checking out their App to see what goodies are coming out each Wednesday and Saturday 😁 Other than that, they have cheap bananas and their nappies are the best out of all of them for my two chubby-bubba's 👶🏼

Hmmm they have a paper shredder coming up in their special buys... I don't need one. But it would be fun 😄

I love Aldi. Only been shopping there less than a year.
Their chocolate is amazing!
Basics like biscuits, cereal, museli bars, dried fruit and nuts, passata, coconut milk, curry paste, pasta, flour, butter, milk, yoghurt
White wine (I've only used it in cooking)
Moscato - pretty decent for the price
Most toiletries (deodorant, toothbrushes, soap, razers, make up etc)
Frozen vegies (these are great!)
What I buy elsewhere (usually Coles):
Some fruit and vegies depending on $$
Cheese! Love the coles cheap 1kg block.
Feminine hygiene products
Sometimes toilet paper
Washing powder (Ecostore)

I also hate Aldi. Annoys the crap out of me.
Why?... The whole store is messy and disorderly. The price tags (cardboard thingies) are difficult to find for items. Their so-called "specials" are always turfed and rifled through. They charge a surcharge for credit card use. Their fruit and vegies are limited in range, and dubious in quality. Their checkouts "opening and closing every few minutes" with those annoying announcements. Having to pack your own stuff, and not being allowed to do so yourself at the register. (It's bad enough having to unload it onto checkout, put bags back in trolley, put into car, take out of car, bring into house, put away in fridge/pantry/upstairs!!). Their paper towel does bugger-all, useless in the kitchen.
I used to be a loyal Safeway girl, but they seem to be increasingly expensive. So these days I shop at Coles. Their Coles brand is usually quite good value, and for the most part, very good quality. Their stores are generally well laid out and clean.
Truth be told, I am probably just too much of a snob for Aldi. I'd rather just send our butler out to Coles to do the shopping
(I am not serious, of course).
VP...1 bottle of wine every fortnight? 1?? Sorry, I don't understand. Makes no sense. Only 1?

Tell me about Aldi
I'm not an Aldi fan. I've tried a few times but one thing I really hate is all of the extra packaging their food has, it makes me feel guilty. I'm also a bit of a snob about figuring out how ethical something is so I try to stick with particular brands I know have ticked certain boxes.

I like their cordial and nappies but don't go there for much else.

I loathe aldi but still shop there fortnightly for basics and top up weekly at markets. Woolies gets delivered once a month for anything aldi doesn't stock. Aldi is a PIA with 3 kids.
Eta. We spend about 130-150/week on all food/groceries/baby products.
