    Default Removing wax

I accidentally knocked a candle and spilt wax all down my bedroom wall, over the powerpoint (not inside the plugs thank god!) and a teeny bit on the carpet.

It's a rental, how the eff do I get it off?

There's a few YouTube videos on this.
    And quite a few articles.
A common method seems to be scrape off the excess wax, then apply heat like a hairdryer and wipe off residue as it softens.
Then wash with warm soapy water.
I'd be careful washing a wall. Is there a test patch you can try that would be barely noticeable?
