Have you called the real estate OP? This is pretty appalling. They need to provide emergency repairs ASAP.

Yes. We spoke to them on 3 occasions yesterday. They said they would see if they can get someone out today... and of course they then called back and said that no one could come out til Monday. They were supposed to get a cleaner in on Friday. I don't know what they cleaned. They were also supposed to get the lawns and gardens done - it did rain on Friday, so possibly unable to do it.
I'm wondering how they missed the lack of a tap in the laundry sink, or the lack of a back door key when they supposedly did the final inspection. The garage I can understand them not knowing about.

Should have mentioned to take pics of everything before you clean. In stove and everything.
Just so you have proof that you are leaving it better than you found it when you leave

We've taken loads of pictures already. I think we need to start again, make it more methodical, and go from there. We've got so many pictures and I can't remember what's what.
Have taken my meds, had a decent lunch and a cup of tea. I've also done that first grocery shop (as much tea as I like now!), and bought some gates for the stairs. DH has tidied up the kitchen/dining/study nook area and a bit in the lounge room. I might have a nap.

I woke up to the news that my uncle has a prognosis of 16 months. This may change depending on what they find with the surgery. Mum's going down before the surgery. I won't be able to make it down with her, but will try to get down after I guess.

Sorry to hear. I lost my younger brother just on 6 months ago. Cared for his twins for 12 months while he had treatment.
