Default Unresponsive Uterine Lining and Hyperbaric Chamber Therapy Trial

Good Morning. I was wondering if anyone may have heard about the hyperbaric chamber therapy trial to assist with thickening the endometrium to be ready to receive a FET? I have a daughter who is nearly 3 and we have been trying now for 4 months to grow the lining so we can complete a FET. So far this has been unsuccessful and my lining is only getting to around 5mm. My FS has advised that I may have had a small infection after the birth of my daughter which may have caused some damage to the lining. I also have some blood flow issues with a good supply of blood not reaching the lining. I have not responded well to HRT to try and grow the lining. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you try get the lining to respond. My FS has told me about the hyperbaric chamber therapy which from what I have read has had good results in getting the lining to respond. I am also on other meds to help with blood flow. My only other option if this fails is surrogacy and I don't feel I would cope down this path. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have lining issues as well and have only tried estrogen tablets thus far which did not work. I havent heard of this therapy but I have an appt with a new FS tomorrow so I will ask if she has heard of it and let you know what she says.

Default Unresponsive Uterine Lining and Hyperbaric Chamber Therapy Trial

Have you had a look at the Ashermans thread? You might find some useful advice there (including advice on specialists that can give a second opinion). I'm a recurrent thin lining patient. My worst linings have been on HRT. Has your specialist tried other methods to stimulate your lining? Apart from the stimulation method (medicated, HRT, natural), there are a few different treatments that can be tried (Viagra, gCSF, vitamin e), but most don't have a lot of evidence to support their use. if you have scarring and adhesions caused by an infection (ashermans syndrome), that needs a different approach to repair the tissue so it can respond to hormones and medication.

Good luck! Unresponsive lining is a super frustrating problem - for the doctors and the patients. Hopefully this is only a temporary bump in the road for you

Sorry, I have heard of the hyperbaric chamber therapy, but know nothing about evidence, cost, practicability or logistics. I'd be interested to hear though!
Personally, I wouldn't go down that track without ruling out ashermans/scarring. If there's scar tissue present, that needs to be dealt with before it can repair. But I'm not a dr/specialist - I'd listen to them before a random (me!) on internet.

Thanks for asking for me. I had no problems with my 1st daughter with my lining but my FS thinks I had a mild infection from my daughters birth. I have tried lots of meds now so next step is the trial. I'll keep you posted.

Hi. I haven't checked out the ashermans thread. I will do that and have a good read. I have tried lots of different meds but nothing has worked so far. My situation is a little different.....I cannot do a natural cycle so hrt is my only option to try and conceive. I wish I could try natural as its a lot of meds and it takes its toll on my body. I have read some reviews on the hyperbaric therapy and it looks promising. Have been considering vitamin e and have also read some good reviews on that too. I might go get some. My FS is amazing and he is very well known for helping with menopausal women and ladies with lining issues. Its a long road 😧. I appreciate your feedback.

Oh and we talked about gcsf but my FS feels that my best option is this new trial. On a positive note. We had to thaw our eggs yesterday to do ICSI as our embryos have to have pgd for the therapy trial. We had 6 eggs and so far we've got 4 embryos so we were happy with that result as its an unknown thawing eggs (don't always thaw as well as frosties).
