I have thought about the alternating Gonal f and menopur which would be less lh which I know can be had for older eggs.

I agree, knowing your experience with FS1 that you should only count wazza cycles.. Fs1 didn't seem to be able to tailor your cycle or from memory try anything different. Your last cycle with two PGD normals should give you hope as your results are going in the right direction.

I know there's no real pattern and no two cycles are the same so I guess that's what keeps hope alive. I guess I will talk to my FS after the PGD results on this cycle.
It does do your head in. Wazza flatly refused for me to do Menopur only - that might just be me and my myriad issues as he definitely tailors to each patient. He has added in Progynova from CD2 this time as that is apparently getting some good results for older eggs - if AF ever arrives... (and no POAS enthusiasts/w****s I'm not UTD - nothing to see here ).

Fingers crossed for you with your current batch. I read today that 50% drop between day 1 and 5 is normal is all women, let alone us mature ladies.

@Charlie74 how many mg if progestrone are you on? Only reason for asking ive prev got progestrone from my bulk bill drop in clinic and no diff in price to fs. If its 400mg then pay to go to somewhere that compounds?? I usually pay 45 for 15 200mg and 60 for 15 of 400mg.

The weird thing is that I was on 600 Gonal-F/Menopur the whole of my last cycle and that was our best. I got 14 eggs and at least 10 were mature. Really fast cycle that freaked me out a bit.

Previous cycle I was on 450 G-F/Menopur that he increased to 600 for last couple of days and I got 21 eggs and well less than 10 were mature. Plus it was normal length of stimming. So they should have cooked more slowly.
@BlondeinBrisvegas why did you want Puregon over Gonal-F? I've always had G-F.
I should clarify by saying both of my Cycles with Wazza were combination Gonal-F/Puregon & Menopur on split doses & alternating days which I know is pretty standard with him to do that.

I'd used Puregon on my very first Cycle (only because they didn't have enough Gonal-F in stock on the day) then Gonal-F for the next 3 & my gut feeling told me to use it again for my last Cycle. I don't know why but I went with it & asked Wazza for it.

@Gagingi- what does the progynova do given your stimulated ovaries/follicles are already producing estrogen?

@charlie74. I hope your salmon is super yummy and you get an early night. I think with all the extra work we need to do something that comes so easily to others can send us all over the edge at times, plus we pay so much for all things IVF that you'd think they'd keep on top of it.

PS. I'd have thought pred and clexane should definitely be PBS as they are used for so many conditions. I think the only thing I don't get under PBS on is Progynova and it is only $27.90.

See thats why i reckon the system is screwed I've never paid more than $12 bucks or so for progynova either from fs or from my regular dr or my bulk billing drop in dr. Ive always got clexane under pbs for 37 or so regardless of who i got it from. The only thing ive paid full price was crinone and was around 170 a bix or something.

@Green lady I'm not sure... FS just added it and the nurse said he'd been doing that a bit lately as it appears to help with egg quality for AMA ladies. He also stopped my DHEA at CD25 of pre-cycle. So tweaking.

In Clayton with Dr NL. Was $200 for the chair and $38 for the intralipids and took two hours. All out of pocket.
