Is your bt today @Precious40. This waiting is so hard im thinking of you.

Welcome to the two new ladies. This is a lovely group of warm hugs and support. Can anyone tell me what wazza's waiting list is like these days? I wont have even close to enough money til after april/may. Just to see what he says about my chances of doing oe? Or de? So was thinking i could make appointment for then and even start on his long list of meds soon too? Or should I wait a little longer. Also should I do my first cycle at cheap clinic to reach threshold first then go off to wazza or is it better to go straight to wazza due to time and low eggs?

Yes..call now Luv as his waiting list is anything up to 6 months atm from what I've read over on the "Wazza Appreciation Thread". They do have a cancellation list though but you'd have to be able to drop everything and go for your appointment if they call as often it will be for the next day or 2-3 days time.

I'd also start getting his list of supplements into you too from here on in. The longer you can take them for, the better

    Hello Lovelies......

DD is all better now thank God!! Still a little bit whingy/unhappy (but she is teething too atm) but no sign of any fever this morning

AF has finally shown up a couple of hours ago so I'm feeling like I've been run over by a bus + the usual horrible cramping/heavy bleeding to go with it. Thank Christ for painkillers!!!

Hmmmmm... No sign of AF for me yet, 5 days late now... I wish I knew what was going on. Maybe I've just hit menopause? I couldn't help myself, I used my last FRER (BFN) yesterday afternoon so I haven't been able to test today. I have to go out and get the groceries later so I might just have to throw another expensive 3 pack in the trolley. Damn I wish I was near a chemist warehouse!

@BIB glad you have some good painkillers for AF - it sucks! Good that DD is a lot better but teething doesn't sound fun either. Hope you get to have a bit of a rest and can take it as easy as possible.

I've just checked with Medicare and my clinic and there have been no significant changes to Medicare at this stage. The Medicare threshold for EMSN general has been increased by $30 which is annual CPI increase (historically this goes up a bit every year). At the same time they haven't increased the amount we get back per item number, so we will in effect pay $30 more...

QFG also said they have put their ICSI and FET charges up a little (e.g. ICSI by $20 - I cannot remember FET increase). IVF cycle charges haven't changed.

Cynical me is wondering if some clinics have put their prices up and are trying to put that onto Medicare...

Thanks for enquiring and sharing @Gagingi as after all those proposed changes that didn't get through in December it had made me wonder what DID change...but I wasn't game to find out lol

@infinity888 if it were me... I'd make an appointment with Wazza ASAP and get on his cancellation list. Currently I think that is Sept/Oct, but you can probably get an earlier one if you are able to make a cancellation appointment. The first appointment is what is hard to get and takes 90 minutes. Then once you have the money I imagine you can just book in to start on your next cycle. Wazza is very thorough so I imagine he'll also run some extra tests and that will take some time.
You'll also have to do the QFG induction and could do that in the interim. We did a cycle with FS#1 (who is also at QFG) whilst waiting for Wazza, but now realise that was a waste of money as it had no chance. That said I have AMA, endo/adenomyosis and PCO and DH has motility and other issues..., so if your issues are less complex then it might work.

I've just spoken to Medicare and they've said if you reach the safety net part-way through an invoice they apply the safety net higher rebate to the second half of the invoice. I'm hoping this is correct as otherwise our first cycle will be horrendously more expensive than our last one.

A friend that booked with Wazza got sent his basic supplements list when they booked, so you could start them now if you wanted. My friend isn't AMA, so I'm not sure what happened with DHEA and melatonin scripts, but his team is lovely so you could ask them if you feel egg quality is an issue? (BIB has also posted his supplement list recently).

We love Wazza and couldn't be happier that we swapped to him.

Blood test is not until 29th
None made it to freeze and I'm just not feeling that confident. Usually I'm more confident at this stage, but this time I'm like it's not going to work. Maybe if self preservation??

Anyway this thread moves quickly doesn't it.

    How's everyone else doing
