I love golden retrievers. E loves dogs but we are still renting and dont have the space and time to look after them. When we go away our vet nurse minds our cats for us at home.

Hmmm I'm not on anything. Should I be on something?

Wow Charlie74, that's really impressive! It drives me mental that I was like clockwork and now nothing happens. It's like a reassuring event - like at least that part of me is working.

Would you like a smaller breed or larger Luv??

    What about a Whippet??

@Tahli My friend has a golden retriever pup that needs walking 2 hours a day beautiful dog though. We've got two whippets, they are really good with kids and lazy by comparison, although any puppies are hard work. Good in apartments too as they don't bark much.

I'm a crazy dog lady, I have a Shihtzu poodle and he is an awesome little dog, follows me everywhere, doesn't shed, and sleeps between our pillows at night, loves to play but will lie beside you all day as well

I got a shih tzu and a poodle neither shed, love kids, small and intelligent. Don't walk them much either but they love walks.

Total crazy dog lady here. So crazy in fact, even in the midst of ivf I got a new puppy, so now have her to train as well as bub on the way!
I have smooth fox terriers (standard not miniature), they are a smaller dog bit with a big dog personality. Very active, very smart & love children. Not yappy or bitey as some other smaller breeds can be, and loyal to a fault. Fully grown only about 7 1/2kg. Nice short hair that the dirt falls off, so easy to groom & keep clean. Needs to be trained (but I believe all dogs need basic training) as very smart.
Just an option if you're not sure about a big dog. I'd always had bigger dogs, but really enjoy this size, much more manageable.
I have 2, this is a pic of my 6 month old puppy. She won't get much bigger, just fill out a little.
