Default Pads with no wings - why?

Does anyone choose to buy pads with no wings?

I always notice when buying these lady products that there are still some that have no wings.

Enlighten me - why would you not want the wings? What am I missing here?

Some people find the wings annoying I guess. I buy with wings.

For DD I have bought her some with wings and some without (all sorts of brands) for when she gets her period to see which ones she prefers.

ETA I find them really annoying when it is hot as they don't stick

I get ones with wings. Except I accidently bought wingless ones once. I think it's because wings can be annoying.

I generally buy ones without wings. The wings annoy the crap out of me.

I wonder if you were of a much larger size, and you therefore had much larger underwear, if the wings wouldn't fit quite right? The part on your knickers where you stick the pad might be slightly wider, and therefore the wings might not reach all the way around properly? I'm not 100% sure on that, but maybe?

I always get the ones with wings. I find the ones without bunch up like crazy, no matter the brand, so I end up with blood on my underwear.

I always bought stay free brand with wings until late last year when I got caught short and needed to get a pad off a friend. Now I am totally sold on the libra super thin wingless pads. So much more comfortable! Def need wings at night though.

Hate wings. I only have a moderate flow and don't need them

The wings can unstick, and do a bit of impromptu depilliation.. Ouch!
