Default DD wont bite with her front teeth

Ever since DD (7 years) lost her two top front teeth she has bitten (as in eating) with her side teeth. She had her adult front teeth for months now but still uses her side teeth to bite. If we encourage her to use her front teeth to bite (like corn on the cob or apples etc) she only uses her bottom front teeth.

She says her teeth don't hurt or feel funny but its starting to concern me.

    Any advice/thoughts?

My DSS was exactly the same. It took him about a year to eat with his front teeth. I think it was just habit as he was so used to using his side teeth and forgot that he had front teeth. We just kept reminding him when he was eating (we did sound like nagging parrots...) to use his front teeth and slowly he improved.
