Today really was a new day! Food not too bad, finally got to my PT class tonight, full on weights session followed by cardio weights, pushed myself to do 2 extra rounds and then a 1.4k run😝 everything is burning right now but the good burning!!!

    Fit bit stats

    19000 steps
    72 minutes active
    3100 calories burned

Huge records for me!!!! Feeling pumped right now but tomorrow there will be pain lol

I skipped weigh-in this weekend, AF hit with a vengeance and I know I'll be heavier than last week.
I was wondering whether anyone's following a particular meal plan, and how are you finding it?
At the moment I'm using healthy mummy/lose baby weight recipes and smoothies. I have a subscription but they have quite a lot of free recipes on the website too. I kind of pick and choose rather than follow the exact menu, I like using it for ideas to expand my meal options.

Well that was a total fail. Back up from 80.1 last week to 81.5 today. Every time I start dropping a little, my appetite roars into overdrive and it all comes straight back again.

I managed my first fast day on the 5:2 diet yesterday. Wasn't bad at all. Hopefully I don't go crazy today on a normal eating day

Hugs. I've been there so many times. I feel like once I lose a tiny bit of weight that gives me permission to indulge a little and of course that leads to putting it back on. Don't give up, it could be fluid as well. I understand, it's a frustrating cycle. But once you break through that mental barrier you'll feel great. I'm trying to change my thinking from "losing weight" to "eating and feeling healthier" so hopefully that will help break my mental attitude towards food.

Hugs Catzilla, I find for me I need to focus on small changes that I can maintain for ever, I dropped sugars in my coffees slowly etc and I focus on getting fitter and stronger and feeling healthier then I don't get as crazy about weightloss, take measurements as well as sometimes the number on the scale doesn't actually reflect what's happening

I was doing normal portions of what I thought were pretty healthy home made meals - turns out there was 800 cal per serve in some those recipes, which was a big shock!!

I know weigh and log everything (the recipe builder in MFP is awesome) and aim for ~500 cal/serve.

Think of drinks - coffees, juices, alcohol etc - all of them can be quite sneakily full of calories.

Salad dressings and cooking oil. Olive oil is around 100 cal/tbsp which is fine if you're cooking 5 serves of meat in it, but not so great if you're only cooking one serve meat.
On the 14/01 I had posted that I had gained about 2 kgs and then you (and some other lovely ladies) opened my eyes to 'my fitness pal'. I have been eating smaller portions thanks to weighing my food and I've been tracking everything so that I know exactly what I'm eating and now 5 days later I'm 5.4kgs lighter on the scale. I was in disbelief this morning! I think some of that would have been water weight or something along those lines but I'm feeling good about what I'm eating and scales are loving me for it.

THANK YOU!!! Your advice has definitely helped!! 😃

My fitness pal is great for tracking calories. I also love reading the success stories for motivation.

It's been fantastic! I find that I feel comfortable about what I'm eating now rather than worrying and thinking "should I have eaten that?"

I've stopped obsessing over losing weight and I'm actually enjoying meal times again because I feel happy with the choices I'm making. I love having that clear visibility of my daily meals!!

    How's everyone going?

Things still good here. I've run every day this week and food is on track. We're going away tomorrow until Monday, so that will be a test. I'll weigh in in the morning. If I can maintain my weight for the time we're away I'll be super happy.
