    I stand corrected. I'd only ever known of complications occurring after birth, as listed in this article.
    But Lil M is right, my first post was incorrect, it can pass through the womb and cause miscarriage.

    No worries 😊 but OP try not to worry the chances of contracting listeria from a sausage roll are pretty rare and if you re heated to piping hot, even less likely.

    I ate one from pie face at about 20 weeks and caught myself halfway through then felt sick with panic. I was fine and you will be too!!

    I pretty much lived off pies and sausages rolls - they were my pregnancy craving.

    You guys are amazing! Thank you for your help I seriously find myself questioning everything! My mum said never looked too much into this stuff and she had 3 healthy girls she said for me to relax!!!!

    My mum used to remind me that she ate salami that had been hung from the ceiling on string in my nanna's kitchen (Polish people 😄) throughout all 4 of her pregnancies. Not even refrigerated! 😱

    Hahaha! I am Italian and the amount of hanging salami I've seen in my lifetime is amazing! O i could really go for a panini right now!
