    Default Inspection question

I recently had an rental inspection and the only reason I knew they'd come was because the repair request form I left out disappeared.

Is it normal to have an inspection and get no feedback or acknowledgement that it actually occurred?

I assume you are referring to a general rental inspection?

Did they give notice prior to the day?

One agent we had would send a letter after the fact (as well as before) stating the outcome of the inspection. Our current agent doesn't give feedback but I make sure I'm home when they inspect.

Yes they gave the required notice for a routine inspection etc - I was at work for the advised time/date. That's not the issue.

Just found it weird that if I hadn't left the request form, I would have had no idea if they'd actually shown up or not.

I've never gotten feedback unless there was something wrong.

That doesn't sound unusual based on my experience with my current agent.

Thanks guys - there's been a number of things that they haven't done properly (and in some cases illegally), so just wanted to check about this one.

Would hate to get to the end of my tenancy and for them to bring up a bunch of issues from months ago that I was never notified about.

I've never had feedback. Our last inspection our property manager came in to lounge. ..said he was super busy and needed to go. .. asked if all was okay. .I told him the issues. .he left. .. a handyman called me to come fix stuff. That was that! He never looked through house or anything.

When I was working, we always left a business card on the kitchen counter if people weren't home to let them know we had been.
