DH and I didn't exchange gifts because money's tight this Christmas.

The kids absolutely loved their presents this year - DD exclaimed this was the best Christmas ever at 6am and that was the best gift I could have had. It was so great to see them so excited.
My favourite gift was my kids excitement and joy as well. Priceless.

Erm... a cupcake calendar To clarify, the family that was available went to Mum & Dad's house yesterday and each adult had to bring a present worth around $10. I bought two presents worth nearly $20.. and ended up with a calendar of (not even what I would call impressive) cupcakes!

    Oh well!

Ugh ! Was my dad part of your gift giving activities? That sounds like something he would give! Poor old dad!
Maybe next time you get a gift you'll get a good one! Sounds like you've done your duty at the other end of the spectrum!

Haha I can only laugh! I have no doubt my Mum added that one to the prize pool! I'll use it in my office at work, or add it to the magazine pile that kids can cut up or something!
