I thought I would start a thread for those not involved in a big celebration today.
We have had family catchups all week and now today we have had just my Mum for breakfast. She has just left and it's just our little family for the rest of the day which, so far, is quiet and pleasant.
The kids are playing and hubby and I will have a kippy on the lounge. I hope everyone else is having a good day.🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁

Are you having a quiet day today?

We are having a dinner with family tonight.
Today has been very relaxing. Presents first thing and just grazing for the rest of the day. I did have a special breakfast planned, but we have just been eating what ever we want whenever. Has been nice.

Yep, quiet day at home for us. Pressies, breakfast and then church, and just hanging out for the rest of the day. It is mega hot here and we are all happy to just chill out indoors watching TV, etc. Myself, I'm enjoying a cider or three and the peace!

Yes very quiet. I cooked a roast pork lunch then went to bed crying as I miss my kids not being here . Left hubby and my dad to eat lunch .
I miss my kids so much this year

Today has been very quiet. I got home from work at 7am. Kiddo opened his presents then we dropped kiddo and mum back at her place. I slept for 2.5hrs or so. Kiddo came back home bout 2pm. I just got back from dinner and about to head to work in just under 2hrs. Its quiet but in a way exhausting due to lack of sleep.

Yep very quiet, after gifts we had breakfast then the kids played until it was time for a early lunch of wraps and fruit then they went swimming with DH while Mum and I chatted and watched tv all the while cooking some roast meat to serve with salad for dinner. It was a very low key Christmas which is what we wanted for the first one without Dad

Quiet but lovely day with my little family at Noosa, swim at the beach plus seafood platter and champagne. Kids have enjoyed their new toys plus swimming. Most relaxed Christmas ever.

Had a really quiet day. I'm a bit sad about that but I know next year will be so different. DD will be 2 so will get it more, we will be living closer to my family and hopefully I can think of present ideas for everyone by then! This year was a complete non-event, but that was what we organised and expected, so that's ok, I guess.

We had a perfect, quiet day today. The kids played with their loot and I lay around like a big lump until we went to my Dad's for a late lunch. Then we came home and I lay around like a big lump while the kids played with their loot!

Yep, we're in England and both our families in Aus, so it was just the two of us and DS. Presents and Skype in the morning, then DS had his lunch and went to bed, we had our turkey breast, then played on our computers waiting for him to wake up. Then a whole lot of not much during the afternoon, just DS doing his thing while I did a few chores and DH played Xbox. Normal evening routine for DS, and leftover turkey and ham sandies on the couch for us just now.
A very boring Christmas, really, but that's just the way it is when you live so far away from everyone.
