Thought it would be fun to start a thread to chat about all things Xmas eve!
What's everyone up to today/tonight?
I'm at work for now, but our boss is taking us out to lunch at 12:30. Then I anticipate we'll be sent home early. I'll head straight home to wrap gifts (I've only wrapped one so far!) and do a spot of housework.
This evening I hope to maybe watch a Xmas movie or some carols on TV (if there are any on) just to build the Xmas excitement/spirit.
No food prep or anything at our house - Xmas lunch will be at my parents tomorrow.
Getting excited, especially for Xmas morning with DS opening his gifts

I got early made 24 cupcake size fruitcakes for presents and burnt 12 as in alerted to them by the smoke alarm. Flying flips.
I done 3 loads of washing and I need to a clean.
I broken up on huge fight. (Great way to start my day)
But I can't complain my poor sister is having a really bad day.
Left to do is clean, clean and clean, deliver some presents across town, go to the shop and replace the stuff dh and d's got into, organise dinner and go on our traditional Christmas light hunt.

Up early this morning to help the boys make choc chip cookies for Santa. Right now I'm out with the boys at the park killing time while DH and his uncle make the trampoline from Santa. I'll take them for lunch and a play at Maccas after this. Later this arvo we're all heading to PIL's where we have a huge dinner, presents etc. DH's dad's family is Latvian and Xmas eve is a big deal with them so we see them every Xmas eve. I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be late night and when we get home we need to do a bit of food prep for tomorrow, put on Santa presents and do footprints through the house leading the boys outside to the trampoline.
I really, really hope this trampoline gets built in a couple of hours, killing time outside in 33 degree heat sucks.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
My anxiety is high today so I'm trying my best to get that under control ASAP.
I have to give the house a tidy and make a chocolate cake with DD for Santa.
We will go to mass and carols this evening and then I'm hoping the kids will be asleep early as I have to go around to my Dad's and get all the presents to put under the tree. Then I won't be able to sleep because I'll be too excited lol.
Sending love and hugs to everyone, this time of the year is very tough on many xxxx

Merry Christmas everyone.
We have just driven from Cairns to Brisbane with a camper trailer and a toddler. At the PILs now just having a quiet day, getting ready for tomorrow with everyone.
Have wrapped the presents this morning and will build the Santa presents tonight.
Hoping to avoid the shops, but just realized I am missing one present.
Best wishes to all.

2 hour drive to Melbourne to my sister's house.
We hope we timed it right - DS fell straight to sleep in the car and if he sticks to normal sleep patterns, he will sleep for 2 hours! Just enough time to get there!
