DH works for an independent school. The staff get a lovely Christmas party (dinner and drinks) put on each year. Staff don't generally get gifts but since DH has been in a coordinator role he's got something at the end of each year. This year was a $50 movie voucher.
I own a dance school and give gifts to each of my staff at the end of the year. It's a small business but I like to show my appreciation to my staff. I give vouchers, but try to change it up between them. This year I gave a mix of Coles/Myer, event cinemas, pure indulgence and David jones. They each get $100 except for the staff member I consider to be my right arm, she gets $150 ☺️.

Not from an Employer, but...
One of the girls from my son's 4YO-kindy parents organised a Coles-Myer voucher from the parents, for the teacher and the assistant. $15 each for the teacher, and $10 each for the assistant. So much better than 24 boxes of chocolates, and a gift they could really use to their liking.

We do a couple of things. Every employee gets an extra day of annual leave that we take on the 24/12 so everyone gets 5 days away from work over Xmas.
We also do $100 in a card.

Nothing. Last night our RN bought pizza for the staff(6 staff) and in January we are having a breakfast after work at her place(we are all gonna have a drink). There was a christmas party at the local from what i heard but i never actually saw any advertising for it any where.
In a previous job, the company paid for us to stay at a nice resort place and put on a christmas party. They do that every year. I would love to work for them again.

Nothing although the senior officers usually put on after work drinks or contribute to the cost of Christmas lunch
Public sector so it's unsurprising this is the case and I've never thought anything of it.
DH usually gets his Christmas party paid for and he used to get a $100 gift card but apparently that's not happening this year. Private sector.

Feeling extremely lucky to work for amazing bosses. I have received this year; $1500 bonus, 3 $100 gift cards, jewellery and a few other small things. They also gifted my partner $600 worth of gift cards.
In the past, I have received nothing.

DH owns his business and every year the staff get the Christmas party with all alcohol included and they all get a bonus this years ranged from 500-1500 each. Through out the year they also great plenty of other stuff, group dinner and breakfasts. We really have amazing staff and we treat them accordingly.
