Yesterday afternoon I felt this horrendous sharp pain in the lower left side of my abdomen as if I'd been stabbed with a knife. I rang my OB & raced in to see him & he thinks I've ruptured my corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary. The pain has been so horrible. Good news is, baby is OK with a strong heart beat.despite this I can't help but feel nervous about miscarriage now. Has anyone else experienced this?

If your OB isn't worried try not to stress too much. I think the corpus luteum only has a function for the early weeks (hormone production) until the placenta takes over. If you need reassurance you can always get another quick scan to ease your mind
