    Since I got pregnant, we have been eating take out 1-2 times a week (usually pizza or BBQ chicken rolls).
    Every other meal is home-made.

    we eat home cooked meals 99% of the time, take away is expensive and fiddly

    Depends on whether eggs on toast counts as "homemade from scratch" 😁

    Seriously... We cook to survive here. Two shift workers juggling two kids with little help from outsiders? Salad and meat, meat and veg, fish and veg, spag Bol.

    Hell. We eat weetbix for dinner if necessary.

    Just keeping it real.

    It changes every week. Generally I aim for home cooked meals (freshly made or from the freezer) 5 nights per week. That doesn't mean a fancy involved meal, it could just be meat & veg. It's mostly "from scratch" but I don't mil my own flour or churn my own butter or anything like that! We get takeaway or eat out once a week, sometimes twice, and some nights are just thrown together using whatever I can rustle up. If we get takeaway the kids eat leftovers and we get it after they have gone to bed. Fast food is very rare.

    Rarely eat takeaway, but we have 'easy' dinners sometimes and a good supply of leftovers in the freezer, so it's not necessary for us to cook from scratch each day.

    Meat and veg, salad and meat, bolognaise...all regulars at my house. Gourmet meals aren't being served up at my house. I don't see anything wrong with that all

    Same here. Meat and veg are "from scratch" as far as I'm concerned! 😉

    I cook from scratch 5 nights a week.
    Mostly just a protein (chicken, prawns, fish) with a huge salad.
    One night we'll get takeout of chicken and chips with salad and one night a week we go to a restaurant.

    We only eat takeaway once every 2 to 3 months here. We live too far away from most options so cooking at home is just far easier. Lazy days here are taking a jar of bolognaise sauce I've cooked in a batch out of the freezer.
