Thank you for the show of chocolately solidarity @BlondeinBrisvegas! It's hugely appreciated!!
After another stark white bfn at 4am I'm going to go for my blood test early (this arvo), at a few hours short of 14dpo. Obv I won't get my results til tomorrow but I'll start weaning off the meds today.
The 25mgs of Pred have been making feel sick so I'll wean down to 15mgs for a few days, then 10mgs for a few days, then 5 mgs X 5 days. Does that sounds ok?? I've not weaned off 25mgs before.
When I had my lining scan pre-transfer the sonographer asked me if I'd been diagnosed with adenomyosis before. And I said I didn't even know what it was. Then she sort of back tracked abit when I started querying it. Does anyone have it and had it diagnosed with a scan rather than a lap? I thought I should get it checked out before the next transfer. Grasping at straws and all that.
Im off to have watermelon and more chocolate ice-cream for breaky!!!

@Summer Have you retested love? You're in my thoughts.
Immune girls, what's the best way to make initial contact with DrM in Sydney? Is there any more money to spend after the initial $400 phone consultation fee?

Tahli, a sonographer first mentioned adenomyosis to me in 2013. I didn't get it confirmed until I had a lap. It is supposed to be very difficult to discern between adeno and fibroids just with ultrasound. I think it can also be diagnosed with MRI but of course that is more moula to spend. Some research indicates it can affect implantation. Other research says it doesn't. If you have good embies that are not implanting it is probably worth looking into.

TaLi I spoke to my doc about weaning off of 25mg prednisone just yesterday and he told me to drop 5mg every 5 days. This is from his website:-
""- The regimen used is as follows:
o Prednisone 25mg orally daily to commence prior to embryo transfer
o This dose it to continue until your next period (if the cycle is unsuccessful) ORuntil 10-weeks gestation§ At this point, it is essential that Prednisone is NOT ceased abruptly§ Prednisone needs to be weaned§ I suggest reducing the Prednisone dose by 5mg every 5-days ""
That's a long weaning! If you want to do it quicker might be good to get some advice about it, steroids sound evil all round.
Now gals, I have had an extremely irritable morning and its not helped by the fact that the vision in my left eye has gone wonky. I am in the process of getting the prescription right for my glasses and now I'm wondering if blood thinners and steroids is going to throw it all out of whack. GRR, blurry vision makes me so cranky.
I'm now down to have a BT on the 24th (14DPO). I did a FRER this morning to see what it looks like 5 days after 6 clicks of ovidrel and the line is very much there. GRR. Just took my last 6 clicks today (DPO6) but I now know that by 11DPO the HCG will still be very much in my system. SO frustrating!!!!
Think the roid rage is kicking in.

Tahli - I can't imagine how you are feeling. It's always awful to get a BFN, but to have had your third trip to CT, and new embies with DS2 sperm, you would have to think you were in with a very good chance. I can imagine you are quite disillusioned with it all, but great that you have a plan for the next one and are looking into what options you can do. I know it sounds really silly, but when I had lining issues I drank a heap of pomegranate juice and my next month's scan showed my lining a 1.1 which was a huge improvement. I figured it couldn't hurt!
AFM BFN today again. It is pretty disappointing as I do think something was starting to happen. Every BFP I've had started exactly the same with a pale pink squinter on 9dpo that quickly darkened up over the following days. So for it to not come up again is a big kick in the guts. I'm only 11dpo, but still, if that line was going to amount to anything, it would be showing up better by now. So all I can do is keep pursuing the donor option and see if I can do something early in the new year. @Maxwellsmum is sending me some stuff on the travelling donors in Brisbane, so I'm going to look into that as well. My friend donor is still on board and digesting everything I've sent through to her, but getting the timing right would be the thing.
DH is quite close to his cousins, all of which have gotten engaged or married in the last year - they are in their late twenties, early thirties, and I just know that they are all going to be spitting out babies left, right and centre in the next few years - not to mention DHs eldest son who is in his early twenties and in a long-term relationship. So I am likely to be surrounded by babies over the next few years and honestly, I don't think I can handle it if I don't have my own. So time to move to DE as quickly as possible. If we were happy with an anonymous donor I probably would have already, but we definitely want a known donor, so that is harder... Onwards and upward!

@Summer yes it does sound like it was a brief chemical, I had one like that once a faint line popped up on DPO10 I think it was and then the next day it was gone, I was so gutted. I couldn't believe it and was testing every two hours I think.
Yes, wanting to find a known donor does make it that much harder, that was why I went onto EDA. They are all known obviously as it is all local gals but some are happy to be 'anonymous' with just future contact details for the child provided.
I haven't heard of the travelling donors before, sounds interesting!

Hi Tahli, it is worth checking out the adeno thread on Bub Hub... it's been pretty quiet lately but there are some great success stories. Another indication of adeno or endo is a high reading on your CA125 blood test... this test is used as a marker test for ovarian cancer but you can have a high level for other reasons as well. My levels have been consistently high but 2 months of down reg with Zoladex brings it right back into the normal range...

'Morning all, and a big welcome to @Billie2. Always room for one more in the boat, although I'm sorry any of us has to be here to be honest. Still, if you are doing IVF and need a soft place to fall, this is it love. Welcome!
I am super tired today unfortunately. Both myself and the 2 budgies were rudely awoken by one of my cats (the older one, who is apparently a child of Satan) who jumped a great distanced up onto the bird cage at 4am. Lots of shrieks from the birds and meows from the cats, and me going off like a firecracker at the cat to 'get out!' We moved their cage this morning - the birds now share the office with me and the cats have the rest of the house. The younger cat is a big sook who lies on the floor in front of the bird cage flashing his belly and calling out hello. He is such a dirty flirty!
A day of work for me today. The housework is done but I have paperwork to do this morning, groceries to get, and tomorrow (ta-da!) I'm off to see my FS to discuss Where We Go From Here. Which reminds me, I must make a list of questions to take with me.
Other than that, all good here. Gonna be 40 again today. God help me....
