@Lolly99 what a surprise to find 2 heartbeats. Glad all is going well and you have no more bleeding episodes. Whilst common, bleeding really does your head in.

He got over it in a few weeks, maybe a little bit of a mouth droop for a month or so, if that. The other was older, but they didn't put him on pred and he was off work for 6 months, then working from home for a year. Had to see numerous specialists and a few years later still has droopy jaw, which apparently will be permanent. We were so grateful my brother was put on prednisone and had early intervention, which it sounds like you've had Summer. The other thing you've got to do is protect your eye if it's not shutting itself properly. Wear sunnies or do the pirate look? I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks @Gagingi we did catch it reasonably early, although because it was new year's I didn't go to the doctor for three days, but I did take a lot of natural anti-inflammatories until I got the diagnosis yesterday and then started the prednisone. The chiro appointment made a big difference straight away, but I have slipped back a little today, but it's not too bad. My eye nearly closes, so it's a bit sore and dry, but not enough to need taping at night - although I could do the pirate thing, lol

That's awful about your family member that has permanent damage now - the doctor did say that it was more difficult to reverse in older people. I think I'm quite lucky that it is reasonably mild and improving, as it can be quite nasty. Doesn't say much for my immune system though, so that's disapointing. Thanks xxxx
