On our year with the kids- xmas eve when they are asleep.
On the other year- first week of Jan (they assume they get delivered xmas eve, and they don't see the tree before that anyway).

Friends and family are already there and I put them their as I buy them. The childrens presents get put under the tree after they are asleep Christmas eve.

As soon as they're wrapped. I guess when DS gets older the presents from Santa will need to wait til he is asleep Christmas eve.

As soon as its wrapped and the tree is up. Right now I have wrapped presents but not tree. Stupid Myer delaying my pretty decorations!

Ideally as soon as they are wrapped with santa's arriving on Xmas eve.
Practically, with a curious four year old who can't be trusted, we've put one each under the tree (a beach towel for the kids) and the rest are still hidden.

As soon as they're wrapped. My daughters first Christmas was when she was 10 months old and she did touch them a bit but only ripped one, and even since she hasn't gotten into them.
