Sounds like the milk ducts to your nipples have been severed with the removal and reattachment of your nipple. Sometimes it repairs itself, sometimes it doesn't.

My suggestion would be to ask to the Lactation Consultant at your hospital to discuss your issue, try expressing colostrum and be prepared to supplement with formula from the beginning.
