    I think it's unprofessional, but it wouldn't worry me. Someone did the same with something I bought once (in a plastic bag), and my partner has with one of his businesses (in professional packaging) when they're very close or he's passing by.

    When you're a small business with small profit margins, that $10 can be a big deal. Doesn't help if it puts your customers off though.

    I sent an email over the weekend and haven't heard anything back. meh I'm over it now. I think my mum got me worked up too as she phoned me in a right flap.

    I'll see what the products are like once I get over there. if they're ok and I like them I won't let this put me off but if the product is not impressive then I won't be buying again.

    Id be a bit annoyed with that. I would probably email saying youve received the products but were disappointed in the lack of packaging and wonder what your $10 postage went towards.

    Youve got nothing to lose as youre not likely to order from them again.

    I think the packaging is the main issue, but as long as the product is as expected and undamaged then how pretty the packaging is is really neither here nor there. You didn't pay for packaging. The product was delivered within the expected time frame, how it got there is irrelevant really, you agreed to pay $10 for delivery and it was delivered.
    The being "unattended" part - if Oz Post had a package that was unregistered (ie didn't need signing for) and if it could fit in your mailbox that's where it would be left. It is up to you to ensure your mailbox is secure. If the parcel had been left on doorstep it would have been an issue.
    It sounds like your overall "experience" has left you unimpressed, which is fine and certainly reflects poorly on the business, but I don't think you have a legitimate complaint. Afterall you got what you paid for...
